I've played CoD4 on the PC and I've played most of the BF games. I have yet to play BF:BC, or CoD4 on any console. But from previous games I think that the CoD4 of the PS3 would last you awhile, but I think the BF is more ment for online. I would watch a lot on both, but in the end I would probably choose BF:BC since I've done CoD4 on the PC.
COD4 is the better shooter as the weapon dynamics are better than BF:BC. BF:BC has some interesting elements with destructable environments and vehicles. COD4 is gonna give you a better online experience and BF:BC will provide you with a longer single player experience. COD4 single player is still good, just short.
Overall you are better off with cod4.. its story and online are both really good.. BF:BC's single player i really didn't like at all.. it's however saved by online..which is a fresh change from cod4..it's more slower but is still lots of fun..never get tired of making your own doorways(destructible environments)
Battlefield, the single player is light hearted fun but also has a good sory line, the on-line is simply great, the ranking system and stat site is phenomenal as well.
COD4... it's amazing, good single player, unbelievable online play, good maps (mostly), and looks and sounds great.
I've only played the BFBC demo, FYI... but I recommend COD4 so highly that anyone who likes shooters and is even moderately interested in online play needs it.
cod4 is far and away the better game but i've grown tired of it. all i play now is bfbc because i was wanting something a tad different. its got its share of problems but its still fantastic. still, like i said, if you can only choose one grab cod4. you won't regret it.
umm, both, but i really am over cod4 now. I only really play it because i want to get gold ak47. I want to get BFBC but i couldnt be bothered to spend $100 on a game (yes australian prices are a true rip off). Yeh i played the demo which i reckoned was great. the game is a lot more fun when you get a full game (24 people i think?) yeh its just destruction everywhere so much fun.
