Bad feeling about MGS4

With only a few more months to go before its release (if the rumor about releasing date is true), so little information Kojima is giving out. I feel Kojima is at the end of his inspiration. They simply don't have enough material to show. MGS4 may not come out as what we are expecting. Do you feel the same way deep down?

No way he's out of ideas... earlier he have stated the many of his ideas could not be realised due to limitations in the hardware.

Edit: earlier means of course on earlier hardware platforms.

kojima said they have been working on it for years so i mean it not like they started a year ago

He always keeps the cards close to his chest. Remember we didnt even know about raiden till pretty much a month b4 the MGS2 launch

You haven't been a Kojima fan for long, have you?

Kojima is always like that when it comes to releasing info about Metal Gear. Not much is known about the game until it is actually really close to the release date or a working demo is released. Remember in MGS2? Raiden as a playable character was kept in the dark for so long and Kojima only give you a sneak peek of the character in the trailer close to the release date of the game. I only find out about Raiden when I played the game. :P

I´m sure it´s going to be an amazing game, the only thing I´m twisting my nose at, is the injections snake is going to need, I´m not sure exactly how it will work, but I don´t like the the ration thingy in MGS portable ops, it´s too stressfull and it will probably be along the same line. Does anyone know what the I´m talking about? and does anyone have any info on this?Eddie-Vedder

i was pretty pissed that i couldnt play as snake, that is the whole reason for MGS, to be snake

well anyways Kojima is a brilliant man with a brilliant mind and i am sure he has once again put his full potential into MGS4 and will not let us down and will have it ready soon enough

I really can't see MGS4 comeing out anytime soon.  In fact it would be no shock to me if it got pushed back till 08.vstag

Let's hope not. This game is on my list to gets for 2007!

Maybe he's having trouble figuring out how to kill off Snake... he should go ask J.K. Rowling for help. :| By the way, if HP7 comes out later this year and Harry actually does die, will I have to put a spoiler tag on this post? :|Funkyhamster

Old age seems to be the theme...Snake will just keel over and kick the bucket.

Last scene of MGS4 will be a new clone of Snake as a baby. Leaving the door open for sequels should Kojima find the need to return to the series.

It was a loooong time before Metal Gear on NES showed up again on the PSX.

this is kojima's last MGS game, the series that made him who he is today. You can expect him to put as much effort and thought into this one to make the series end with a bang. this will most likely be the best of the series. Voltatriz

My god anyone who turns there back on Kojima is simply a flat-out idiot. Metal Gear Solid 4 will be his best creation yet. This man is a perfectionist, and honestly one of the greatest game directors/producers of our time.mjf249

Easily 2 of the biggest games of 07 are MGS4 and Crysis, both games are pushing hte limits of what we knew as gamers and have many new innovative features that will be copied by others in their genre. Unlike the guyz at Crytek (needing as much publicity as they can get, also trying to sell a game engine) Kojima doesn't have to reveal that much of his work for it to be a sucess.

It's like those movie trailers where all the good parts are seen in the trailer leaving the rest of the movie dull. So sure we've seen lots from Halo 3 and even way more from Crysis but MGS4 (or maybe Japanese in general) like to keep the anticipation high by keeping a project under wraps as long as possible.

kojima will deliver. IMO he always has, havent played an MGS i didnt love! WOO! I cant wait for MGS4! i wont leave my house for weeks!

how do you have a bad feeling? Its good he isnt releasing stuff so than you actually have surprises left in the game when you play it. This is comming 07 for sure and is going to make everyone love the ps3.

I've always had this feeling that developers from the 8bit era created their games with such a huge story arc that it was until this generation of consoles will they see their ideas finally become realized. It's like if you were a director of a movie and you had these big ideas (i.e. special effects, huge explosions, car chases, etc..) that you want to implement into your film only to realize that you're limited by the budget so you don't get the actor you want, your explosions are reduced to a few firecrackers, and you visual effects are hand drawn...So once technology and your movie budget gets bigger you can begin to paint the masterpiece that you intending on doing in the first place. Location and the time frame may change but all in all it's what you wanted from the word go and this is what Kojima is simply doing. I don't see him falling flat with ideas for MGS.

By the way what era would this be considered as? Last gen was the 128 bit era and this era would be like 1,280 bit era? LMAO...
