i have been banned from psn but i didn't receive an email explaining why or for how long, does this mean itsa permanent ban. i thought it was taking a while for the email to arrive but its been four days since the ban

You get an email within 48 hours so give it a wait. If you want to know now, call sony.

As for TC, just don't do dumb stuff and this shouldn't happen again, I'm also sure you can get temporarily suspended since this happened to a buddy of mine for his comment or something.

Sony didn't tell me anything when i got banned and they just unlocked my account when i called em up.
