Hello, good PSP folk.

We've always been a "Nintendo family" but now my nephew wants a PSP. In looking into the PSP, I've gotten lots of info on memory sticks and storing music and video, but conflicting answers on this very basic question: Where are saved games stored? On the game cartridges like with GBA/DS, on-board memory, or do I need external memory for this?

Thanks to any and all who can clear this up for me.

It goes on the memory card but like the previous user said its very small going between 25-150 kb for any given game wich is virtually nothing. I have a 1 gb memory card which runs about $40 and I have a ton of videos and demos as well as saved data on it and its only abot half full

yes it goes on the memory stick and like they said its very small prolly varyng from 30KB to 180KB or something like that or if u wanna download a game or a video or music or anything and put it on the PSP i suggest u buy ger memory stick cause it only comes with a 32MB stick so id suggest like a 2GB which runs from like 60 - 70 bucks but u also need a USB cable to hook into the computer to put it on the psp so yeah but they only go for like 20 bucks

Save files go onto a memory stick, each save file normally is only 80KB - 200KB on the stick itself. I'd just go for the 1GB which is roughly around $40. But youll need to get a USB cord to hook it up the PC, for music,videos,etc. o-o;
