Batman wants Solid Snake role?

The Buzz:Christian Bale is reported to be interested in taking the lead role in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid film.

Internet reports, citing an interview with British magazine Nuts, state that Christian Bale is keen on starring as Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid movie.

No solid info on the movie has been revealed, although Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima did confirm that the movie project was underway back at E3 2006.

"I have received many offers to adapt Metal Gear Solid. It has taken a long time, but we have finally settled on an arrangement," said Kojima. "False facts aside, a movie project is underway. I have finalized a ****A contract with a party in Hollywood."

At this time no official casting information has been announced.

He did a pretty bang up job in the movie, Batman.

Just imagine him trying to interpret Snake's voice? Just use David Hayter, he has the build and the voice.

All the Chief needs is a generic voiceover to a stuntman in a suit, he has the personality of a misshapen rock.

Im a C. Bale fan, but as long as he gets thinner, I mean solid snake is is kind of skinny on the first PS1 game, but to be honest, as much as I know C. Bale is an AWESOME actor... I will always miss the voice of david hayter...RJLateralus

Snake is not thin, he looked like that only in MGS1 due to graphics. also voice acting can be done easily with technology.

i like Christian Bale since American Psycho, i would enjoy to see him in Solid Snake role but i think someone who resembles Solid Snake in MGS 2-3 would be better if they can make him act.

I've been kinda unsure about how I feel when it comes to video game movies in general but not this one. I do not want a MGS film.

If it turns out to be the most amazing, mind blowing movie of all time then great, but I don't think it will. I don't want a crappy movie to tarnish the franchise.

Of course I have a sliver of hope but it's very small

Movies becoming video games never works out. But I do believe that video games to movies have a shot.

I thought Hitman was pretty decent. A lot better than any video game made off of a movie.

And of course we can't forget Doom!!!!!!!!!!

Are you being sarcastic? Russell Crowe as Solid Snake? Laughable. Russell Crowe is a great actor but by no means fits the role. For one thing, he's too short to play Solid Snake. Christian Bale is perfect and I cannot picture anyone else playing this role. He has the build, the height, face shape, brown hair, everything. Even the voice. Bale was built for this role.

Well Christian Bale, when he was in his Batman suit had this gruff ass voice so I guess they can either make up for the voice or he can change it.
