its like this. im just about getting a ps3 slim and a game along with my ps3 purchase. i just recently into shooting game. has been admire modern warfae 2 for a time. but recently, with the beta version of battlefield 2 for the ps3 had been released, i got confused. which should i get? i know, i have to play the beta first to get knowing of the battlefield 2 but its hard to compare to mw2 coz ive never played the mw2. i just watched someone playing it on utube. for the EXPERIENCED PLAYER, please, please tell me which should i buy. i dont want you tell me to buy that game because you a fan of that game series. the good thing i know about battlefield 2 is that it is newer, better graphic, bigger map when playing online, better multiplayer(i dont know this is true or not), vehicle and destroyable environment (SUPERB!!) and have more realistic physics and sound. the good thing about mw2, it has been sold millons, supposedly multiplayer should be good, many modern weapons, face paced(dont know this supposed to be good or not)... so, which is exactly better? does the battlefield have the modern weapons and environment (like the airport and the city) coz i more into that. does the slower paced on battlefield make it better and more fun that the fast paced of modern warfare 2? is that true multiplayer is better on battlefield 2? i believe i will spend online more than the campaign. the longer your answer and facts about both of these games the better. thanks....

this is my opinion based on the bfbc2 demo and mw2 on xbl i dont have it on ps3 but it's the same thing lol.

if you want a fun, not so serious online game I would say mw2, you will either have a really fun time playing it with friends and such or u might just get mad at it because there is alot of campers or cheap tricks to use like heartbeat sensors and some perks and what not. but it is a really fun game you cant go wrong with it and it has that spec ops mode which kills some time too. single player is good but short and yea thats about it, good amount of replay to the online btw.

as for bfbc2 i nthe demo there were alot of snipers when i owuld play, but people say part of this is people who play modern warfare 2 played the demo of bfbc2 and would just snipe, but it was a pretty fun game for that one level and you can actually control tanks and stuff not like in mw2 were u control the guns or call in helicopters.

one game has max 18 online and the other is 32 i think?? maybe im wrong for bfbc2 having max 32..

I would have to say mw2 though out of these two choices,

but since ur getting a ps3 you might wanna look at the exclusives too since alot the exclusives are better than both games

WoT but I'd go with BC2 because the guns have weight as does your character, Bullet physics are great, better grafix, sound, more players and a more tactical experience.

Modern Warfare 2 is more jump in jump out and is good for a mess-a-bout on. There's no doubt its a good game but right now it is FULL of holes as in there are a lot of bugs and glitches that just need fixing. There is a patch on its way for a lot of these but it's likely more will just pop up. The fact it has sold millions is in my opinion another of its downfalls. There are TOOO many kids on there camping with SMGs attempting the get killstreak rewards all of which are more bothered about their K/D ratio than winning the game. For me these people ruin the experience and since reaching 100% on everything in MW2 I haven't played it much. However like I said it is a very good game and if your just starting out with FPS then this one is probably for you. Bad Company 2 is just awesome, how anyone can say otherwise is beyond me. The graphics are brilliant, vehicles, destructible environments, the team play, guns etc. To answer your question about the 'modern' aspect It has modern guns, modern equipment, modern vehicles and modern settings (maps) however they feel much more large scale and war-like. Bad Company 2 does have much more of a different feel to MW2 which is why I will have both but if you could only choose one and judging from what your asking I would say Modern Warfare 2 is for you. Hope that helps :D

Rent MW2 and Try the BF:BC2 demo on PSN Store then decide both games are very different and have different styles of play so pick the game that suits you best.

Not necessarily. Many games that are years old are still much better than a lot of the new games that are released today. Battlefield is better because the gameplay is more balanced than COD. No cheap perks/campers.

MW2 = fun, but unfair (cheaters, hackers, and inconsistent internet connetion)

BFBC2 = mediocre, but fair.

Iam quit suprised that so many people find BFBC2 mediocre.

Don't get my wrong, I think MW2 is a good game. There are only to many things(which are allmentioned before) thatare spoiling the experience a bit for me.

BFBC2 is the first shooter I had the wow effect within 30min of playing. Normaly I have to get in to it first, if you know what I mean.

BFBC2 is so intense. You really have te feeling your in the middle of the battlefield. It's also fun that you can drive vehicles and it all feels balanced to me. The sound effects are like I have never heard before. I can walk around for 15min not killing anyone and still enjoy everything that is happening around me.

It's up to you what you like most. Fast action, running and gunning modern warfare 2 or more tactical realistic BFBC2. I will play both.

Hannah Montana is pretty popular right now too.... doesn't say much about her quality of music though. I'm on the fence on this one. I like MW2, but it isn't spectacular. Bad Company 2 beta and demo was a much needed change of pace. My big problem with MW2 is the camping to get killstreaks. I liked playing Ground War - Domination, but now its just a race for a nuke with no respect for the domination aspect. Too often i have been smoking the other team only for them to nuke us cuz some camper grenade spammed the flags. But it was still really fun, though often a battle of killstreaks. I wouldn't even say BC2 has better graphics than MW2, they are just very different. I look at it this way, if you want to be a one man army and worry only about kills (not a bad thing, very fun actually) than get MW2. BC2 is more about accomplishing objectives, team work, and thinking a step ahead of the enemy. I think many people were turned off by the BC2 demo because they wanted to just run around and gun in a bunch of one on one encounters with health regen inbetween like in MW2. i personally have a lot more fun on BC2, but my kill / death is much better on MW2. Bad Company 2 = Saving Private Ryan / Black Hawk Down Modern Warfare 2 = Diehard 4 / Chuck Norris movies.

Battlefield Bad Company 2. 24 players, larger maps, vehicles (gasp), more room for... just playing. Both are fantastic games, but I'd go with BFBC 2 if I were you.

Theres only one map and like 8 guns on the demo so hard to compare. I don't think you can customize your weapon on battlefield but the map seems way better compared to the snow map in MW2 and its fun were as MW2 the killstreaks is too overpowered (annoying as hell)

This is pretty much how I feel, too.

Battlefield BC 2 feels like a real warzone where you don't just run into the fight guns blazing and hope for the best. You don't run very fast and its hard to aim while moving. I like this because it adds to the strategic requirements of the gameplay. If you want to get a good shot you need to be still or crouch even. If you do that out in the open you'll get slaughtered. So then you pretty much have to get behind something. Only advance across large open areas when the coast is clear.

There's also various vehicles and stationary weapons you can use, but they aren't so powerful that everyone runs to them to crush the competition. You actually have to be pretty good with some decent back up (engineers) if you want to ride a tank through the middle of the battlefield. There's just so many ways to approach the battle. It makes it SO much more enjoyable.

MW2 its just spawn, run, shoot, die, respawn, run, shoot, die, respawn, run, shoot, die..... over and over again. Its fun as hell, because you feel like superman with a machinegun. But even the sense of supremecy can't keep it interesting for too long.

Totally agreed man, MW2 is just broken online (ie respawns, perks, and overpowered guns) at least B:BC2 has some balance

MW is , was, and will be the better of the two, i mean cmon how cn u even compare the 2??? the characters in BW look like a bunch f jokers, just so out f place!. MW on the other hand has real kick ass characters! Captain Price in MW is a character made for such heavy duty action games. As for all f those who think , the vehicles one gets to drive in BW , gives it a edge over MW ..go play NFS r sum other car game..the genre is calles FIRST PERSON SHOOTER not first person driver!!. Compare the story; MW reads like a movie, battlefield just looks like a script from a comic buk. And yeah dnt forget the weapons. MW has more weapons then BW plus they luk and feel much real then BW. In BF u hv such a limited no f weapons to choose from, MW has a big inventory nt only from the weapons u get s the character bt also the ones u pick frm the bad guys.nd ive heard people claiming BF2 to be more realistic then MW2 , i guess they hv either nt played MW r were playing with their eyes closed. PS :Watch out guys, MW3 will be a force to reckon with.
