Well, have you played any of the previous COD or BF games?

I personally love both series, but out of the 2 it depends on what you want, BF has one of the most boring campaigns you will ever play, but the MP is fantastic, although not as good as previous games, it's still amazing. COD on the other hand has pretty fun MP, and zombies is decent, and the campaign is fun, but at the same time, it's same old COD.

If it's for single player content I would get COD, for MP I would get BF.

I think they are both worth getting. they are pretty different games imo

After some time even Battlefield 3 will become same old routine. I do prefer it more then COD titles simply because it allows me to use vehicles and strategy on large conquest maps. Plus, I don't die in 10 seconds of spawning. Nothing wrong with COD, but it's not my cup of tea.

The best advice I can give you is to try BF3 for yourself, it's a personal preference.

Black Ops 2, because it's not Modern Warfare 3 (which was garbage)
