All depends on what style of FPS you like, of course. I will say that, as someone who found Bad Company 2 to be very enjoyable, BF3 was pretty horrid. The gameplay is really imbalanced, and it just felt like the devs were trying to create a hybrid between Battlefield and Call of Duty play styles which didn't work. If you're dead set on that game, however, I would recommend Premium. It's the only way to survive in that game.
Single-player: Borderlands 2>Black Ops 2>BF3
Co-op: Borderlands 2>Black Ops 2>BF3
Multiplayer: It's preferance I guess. BF3 is more about teamwork on large maps with vehicles. COD on the other hand is more about face paced action by yourself on smaller maps while getting killstreaks. Borderlands 2 does not have multiplayer.
I agree with him, but borderlands does have multiplayer, but only co-op.Single-player: Borderlands 2>Black Ops 2>BF3
