Battlefield: Bad Company 2 first update

This is the first time I've played BC 2, and the according to the little timer it's going to be over 2 hours to update. I realize I'm late playing this game, but over 2 hours for the first update?

Shouldn't that be a good sign that they have been continuing to evolve and add to the game?
