Yeah but there are always those bars on the sides. It doesn't fill the entire screen. GT4 supports 1080i. Other games don't have that.

GoW1&2, Socom 3, and RE4 can play in 16:9 also:|

Yeah but there are always those bars on the sides. It doesn't fill the entire screen. GT4 supports 1080i. Other games don't have that.

When I was playing GoW a couple months ago, I didn't recall seeing bars. It could be your upscale settings.... or I could be blind:P

GoW goes 480p. RE4 on the other hand, doesn't change. I remember the last time I tried RE4, 16:9 didn't make the black bars go away.

Re4 is stretched 16:9. Even the wii port in widescreen looks like an early ps2 game. Better to let your tv stretch it to tell the truth. That or leave it in 4:3. To play in 16:9 without 480p, you have to change your upscale settings to full. Easy way to do it? Press the ps button during a ps2 game, and well.....you can figure it out from there.

As far as 80gig BC again? I don't see it happening, but it could. If it did, it would improve profits majorly. So many people just skip out on ps2 games, if they don't have a ps2, and move on. Though, look at all the new ps2 games that come out now a days. They look better on the ps3 anyways, so it'd be a smart move. I can REALLY see ps2 psn downloads.
