Found this article, in case you had not seen it...looks like the problems keep mounting for microsoft.

1. ring of death

2. australia recall (rumored problem with hard drive)

3. scratching discs

I know this is the ps3 forum, but I thought this might make you appreciate the ps3's you all own a little bit more!

Actually, the fact my xbox broke twice now is the reason I bought a PS3 a while back. But yes, I'm very happy with it. I can turn it on with confidence that it's going to work properly. It's a load off my mind....

I'm happy I got a PS3 because PS3 is PS3... it's PS3! What can I say? Other consoles have their own problems. True that PS3 started off on a bad foot but PS and PS2 did worse at the start and look how many consoles they sold!

ahh I did not mean it in that way, I feel bad for all the people that bought the 360 that experience problems, it sucks for the consumer, I just think that it is nice for PS owners to know that all teh money they spent was well worth it (in getting a solid machine), I hope Microsoft gets over these problems, because I enjoying playing a bunch of their titles, guess i phrased it a little weird

im happy i have a PS3 cause theres a lot of new games for me ( Cause i havent played many games liek Heavnely Sword for example ) And alot of good exclusives. Also it jsut feels sweet having a PS3 :P

Thats because Microsoft rushed the 360, hope it will soon be fixed like next year if they do a massive recall or something, Im on my third, my first got run over by a car(please dont ask), second died, then got fixed, died again, know I'm on my third that is running fine, hope it stays that way. I love my 360 and all the games, I had a PS3 I liked it for a week because Resistance was kind of fun, but got boring after that, the rest of the time I used for surfing the net for you know what, then I returned to target claiming something was wrong and got all my money back.

It's funny if you think of it every console has the same exact war year in year out lol. Sony PS2 came in was expensive didn't have that many great games or things to play, then rose up with amazing titles and great control. Xbox came on gave sony a bit of rough stretch with releasing Halo and others but turned out to not get the hype it needed, plus many flaws, Gamecube revolutionary design but making the same mistakes same games every time new system not enough 3rd party support. Correct if im wrong but that how i see it, and i just like my Ps3 becasue well as soemone stated it's a PS3.
