Whats SOO bad about the controller that you don't like it?
Yes the 360's is better for the most part.

Yeah, the d-pad sucks more imo. The PS3 controller is much better with action adventure games, while the 360 controller is more suited towards shooters. Ugh, SF4 controls were screwed on the 360 because of the d-pad.Good job ducking the question guys but since you asked, the PS3 controller just doesn't feel good in my hands. My biggest issue is actually with the placement of the analog sticks. It's awkward. If someone had drivers or instructions on how to get the wireless 360 controller to work on the PS3, that would resolve the issue and open up the possibility of buying a PS3 to go along with my 360.SergioP
Maybe if you would of told us what was wrong with the PS3 controller in the first place we wouldn't have assumed things.
You can't use 360 controllers on a PS3 because PS3 uses blutooth tech for its controllers.
Or there's this.

I know. To me a trigger is a trigger. Unless they make it painful to use or impossible to use I could care less.how the f**k the trigger sucks. Ya it would only suck if your hands sweat so much your finger slips off all the time. i dont get it. the trigger is fine to me.

Like everyone has said, the L2 and R2 buttons are not the best in the world. I would have wished they would have left them the same as they were on the PS2 controller, but oh well. Also, 360 controllers will not work on a PS3 but the controller really isn't bad enough to warrant you not to get a PS3. The fact that the PS3 can play Blu-ray movies is a good reason to get it. The cheapest Sony Blu-ray player I could find was not a whole lot less than the PS3.
playstation been using the same controller fo 15 years cus its the best of all time, the 360 controller is bulky and the joysticks are too far apart and not on equal levels, stop hating, or dont get one, who cares

the placement of the analogs was kinda weird for me too at first because i never used a ps controller but you get used to it

You can't. Just use the effing DualShock controller or don't bother.
How about you actually get the system first and try using it for awhile before complaining about what it doesn't have. It sounds to me you are just used to the 360 controller. After awhile you won't even care. You sound like a fanboy right about now. Your not going to get a chance to do what you want, you can't unless you bought a 3rd party controller similar to the 360 design and plugged it in to the PS3, but then you wouldn't have sixaxis which are required sometimes in games. Just use the standard controller for a while and see if you can't get used to it.
First of all, I play with someone who has both systems. He always asks me to get a PS3 as well but, after playing for a few hours at his place, I can honestly say that I don't find the DS3 particularly comfortable. Graphically, the system is great and I like the newer slim design. All that's missing is a controller that suits me. That said, there already is a controller that does and there's a USB device (wireless receiver) that can connect to the PS3. All that I need now is either drivers or instructions on how to get it to work. As for getting the system first, I don't buy cars when I don't like the test drive. Why would I do the same with a gaming system? It's not that I don't want to use the PS3 controller as much as it is that I do want to use that of the 360. Getting a 3rd party controller would just avoid the issue instead of fixing it. I understand the type of people that post on these forums but I'm just looking for some help. I didn't make wild statements for the sake of making noise. If you can't help me, that's fine. It's not your responsibility. I did find the fanboy remark a bit insulting and petty. If no one can help me, I'm sure that I'll get over it.How about you actually get the system first and try using it for awhile before complaining about what it doesn't have. Oddly enough i find the staggered sticks on the 360 controller very akward. I guess i just got familiar with the PS controller from the ol' PS1 days :P
The only thing different is the Dpad and left analog stick is switched around. Some people dont like the L2 and R2 buttons, but you can get clips that go over them to make them feel like 360 shoulder buttons at gamestop for like $5.
I personally think the PS3 controller is better. Mostly because its sleeker and cemetrical

I suggest you try to adapt otherwise the PS3 is not for you and that's a shame.
ps3 controller is perfect u just have to get used to it i 2 have been using the dual shock since the ps1 days so im really comfortable with itXbox controllers feel weird to me but then again I've had a Duelshock in my hands since the PS1. Find a way to "test" it out and get used to it

I don't really like the controller (at all). I already have an Xbox 360 and would love to get the controllers to work on a PS3 but the only thing that I've found so far is for the wired controllers. It would be cool if I could get the 360 wireless adapter so that my existing 360 controllers would work. If anyone knows how to get the Wireless Gaming Receiver to work on the PS3, it would be appreciated. I figure that this is just going to need some drivers but I haven't found any that I think would work. Any insight? If you're not sure what I'm talking about, I have a URL for tha pic of the adapter below. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31%2BfcDWCnuL._SL500_AA280_.jpgSergioP
Instead of complaining about the controller take some damn initiative and mod the controller yourself. There's nothing wrong with the PS3 controller, and trust me it's far more comfortable than your precious 360 controllers by a long shot. The controllers are smaller and reduce stress on the pressure points of the hands, and the layout is superior to the 360's. Trust me I own both consoles, but I prefer my PS3 and you'd be amazed at the difference the controller makes once you've had it in your hands for some time.
i love both systems but i feel the 360 has an overall better controller it feels more comfortable to me but ps3 is still good
Just use the PS3 controller, I love it and I used to own an original xbox and still play on my 360 regularly. I've never had a PS1/PS2 and I got used to it right away. You can also buy a pair of these to fix the triggers. The controller is much more comfortable with it and it's only 4 bucks at Best Buy:
Edit: and you can't install drivers on the PS3. When I first got my PS3, I looked for every possible way to use the wireless 360 controller on the PS3 since I already had 3 of them and didn't want to pay for extra controllers.
Well ofcourse the xbox controller dont work on the PS3, would be pretty damn stupid if they did. I don't know what you find so bad about the ps3 controllers, I admit that the xbox controllers are a bit nicer to hold but the ps3's are far from bad. Just get used to it.
