Dpes the ps3 have any issues like the 360 does, like randomly dieing or the disk reader stop reading disks? I want to get one and i'm kinda fed up with my 360 not reading disks, and will i need to get it replaced after a couple years? sry i know it doesnt have nearly as many issues as the 360 but id just like to make sure from other people experiences, it not a cheap machine lol. ty in advance :).
I have never heard of any problems with the disk reader. I have had mine since launch with no problems. I own both and can honestly say the PS3 is a much more solid machine than the 360.

ive had mine nearly a year and never one problem, not even a freeze-up. i have heard of blu-ray drives dieing although out of me and my 6 friends with PS3s none of us have had this happen.
ok ty and hows the online play? i've herd that its laggy but that comes from the 360 forum and most people tend to rant on the ps3's online services. Darkstarsonic
i experience a lot more lag on 360. Also PS3 online services are free, we have dedicated servers, less advertising, and HOME on the way, so the only thing better about 360's online is more people.
