hi guys i've been looking for a good hdtv for my ps3 since i moved into my dorm 2 weeks ago. i read good reviews for vizio shard and samsung. anyone here can recommend me some good hdtvs under 450 budget? 1080 or 720 doesnt matter since i read somewhere that it wouldnt be noticeable until 40+ inches
Vizio 32" 720p $378 Vizio 32" 1080p $468 I have a 720p Vizio and it does the job, most games run at a native resolution of 720p anyway, 1080p is mostly for watching Blu-ray movies.
Don't go with cheap Visio, if you can get a Samsung for around the same price.. go for it... A year later you'll still have your TV, and you won't mind that you had to invest 100$ or 200$ more a year before. When shopping for a TV in-store, don't just look for picture quality, go for menu options, sound quality, how fast does it respond? I love my TV, paid over 2000$ for it, but DAMN IT'S SLOW !!! It takes around 5 seconds changing from inputs to inputs...
i heard vizio is pretty good. are they really that bad i found a deal on us-appliances for a sharp hdtv it's only 369 including free shipping http://www.us-appliance.com/lc32d47u.html seeing sharp as one of the best i thin it's a steal any opinion on this?

If you don't mind the fact that it's 720p (32" is the minimum size for 1080p to be mildly effective) then that is indeed a steal, as long as the site is reliable. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Vizio brand televisions. I have an uncle that owns a television repair shop, and he gets as many if not more Sony's, Samsungs, and Panasonics as he does Vizios. They make decent sets at a great price. Their picture quality isn't 100% up to snuff with the top of the line, but they're generally over $100 cheaper.
I think 720p is good enough for 32 inch. If you're planning to play it on 1080p, get a bigger one. And the fact that most of the games only play 720p. Don't be fooled and waste money for nothing. IMO
I have a Sony 32 inch Bravia set and it does a great job at displaying everything at 720p (doesn;t support 1080p). The thing is when shoping for a HDTV go to several stores and watch a few different ones playing side by side for a while. I have noticed that not all HDTV's look the same when there sitting side by side.
