HDMI 1.3!

TrueHD Decoders

DTS-HD Master Audio Decoders!

7.1 Multichannel Inputs

HDMI Upconversion (meaning you connect all your inputs (PS3, 360, Wii, CableBox) to the receiver,  and the receiver only needs to be connected via one HDMI cable to the HDTV

Not bad at all for $399 if you preorder!

Anyone want to buy my 604?

Wow.  Not bad.  Thanks for the heads-up.  I'll look around for some reviews.  When does it come out?

I checked jr.com where they had the 399 preorder deal and they are no longer taking preorders on it.  I still might get one.  I almost bought a $700 Denon that didn't have the specs that this Onkyo has.

I did a google search of "tx-sr605" and 90% of the results were deal sites talking about the jr.com pre-order deal.  clicked on one of the links to jr.com to try and preorder and I couldn't even find a reference of it on their site.

That's a nice reciever you mentioned there.  Too costly for me though :P

Yeah I'll have something like that one day.... right now I have to find ghetto ways to get HD. I'm running my PS3 through a 1080p component to VGA adapter into a 80lbs 22" CRT monitor that supports 1920x1440. Great picture and it only cost me $200 for 1080p.

Resolution is a lot less important than accurate color, color temp, and contrast that does not crush detail in whites or blacks.
