I don't really know if you need a warranty...

It might be a waste of money, the PS3 comes with a 1 year warranty, I've had mine since launch and its all fine so far.

BestBuy (and Futureshop) offers a grossly overpriced warranty. Plus from experience, they will weasel their way out of providing you with a replacement should it be necessary. They will be very picky and strict. I bought mine at Futureshop without the warranty, but I got a deal because I bought a tv the same day, that was my reason. It might be beneficial to purchase from EB just because you can trade in things to get credit, plus they offer added bonuses if you trade in say 5 games that have each at least an $8 value

bestbuy if you're a rewards zone member. screw the warranty imo definitely not needed and a big waste of money. With bestbuy rewards zone you can be getting some free $5-10 certificate because of dropping all that cash and then use that money coupon for future purchase if you're a rewards zone member (which doesn't cost anything to join, you can get a credit card type one that racks up more free money coupons with purchases anyware, but I just use the regular noncredit card membership). I think I've gotten over a $100 from them so far (depends how much you spend). I get the 10% off of videogame coupons in the mail all the time which help with the price tag especially with all the good titles coming out (everyone gets them). They don't always have the lowest price sometimes though. And no I do not work at bestbuy they're staff are idiots like pretty much anyware else.... Here's looking at you Gamestop manager who was trying to tell a customer that FFxiii was coming out in December and was multiplat. :o

The best buy warranties are $60 for 2 years. You can get one within 30 days of purchase.

I didn't get one because I don't think it will ever break and sony's warranty is probably good enough.

The system should be fine. Its not like it is a Xbox 360 and its ring of death. I would go with Best Buy, thats were I bought mine.

I bought mine at Target the other day they only had 2 60GB left!! and I'm loving every second of it, I would totally go to Best Buy over EB Games though.
