i have been tempted by borderland before but allways shyed away from it because there has always been another game to try. im a big fan of the fallout seriers, how does it compare to that? The best co-op games that I have played are Little Big Planet, Resident Evil 5, Borderlands, and Resistance.

Army of Two 2 was fun, should be cheap now. So I would think it would be worth the money. Borderlands is my favorite co-op game to date. I personally dont like Fallout 3 but Borderlands in ways is a little similar. Borderlands has a Easy Plat too, but it is time consuming.

Sorry, never played a Fallout game but Terrencec06 answered that pretty well though. I also shied away from Borderlands but I ended up getting it because 1) My friend and I were bored and 2) There was a sale at Gamestop for the GOTY edition. I didn't regret it because its a lengthy game with a lot of missions and I'm a sucker for free roam games. However, I have to admit that I wouldn't enjoy it half as much if I played it by myself. The best co-op games that I have played are Little Big Planet, Resident Evil 5, Borderlands, and Resistance.

These are all very good choices, I found Borderlands very dull though. MW2 Spec Ops is some of the most fun I've had in co-op in a long time, I highly recommend it.
with you 100% on free roam, thats why i loved fallout so much. thanks guys for the advice, i reckon borderland is a winner. then ill try Resistance 1 & 2 on the lead up to 3 as it comes with the playstation 3D TVMcProley
Resistance 2 doesn't really have co-op, you technically could play co-op on the mode, but it would be near impossible, the enemies have the same health they would against 8 people so you basically whittle down a boss's health for like an hour before he dies. Resistance 3 is bringing co-op back though.

Yeah that's exactly why I couldn't stand playing it by myself. The storyline co-op made the game enjoyable for me (and my friend)[QUOTE="crrdbest"]i have been tempted by borderland before but allways shyed away from it because there has always been another game to try. im a big fan of the fallout seriers, how does it compare to that? it doesnt compare much to fallout , but its one of my fav coop games , it has tons of guns and fun and is easy to plat you just need something like 80% of the trophies , i got a plat and wasnt even trying to get itThe best co-op games that I have played are Little Big Planet, Resident Evil 5, Borderlands, and Resistance.

I played it with my friend and we couldn't even get past the first few enemies, even if it was, there's no medics so you die super fast, even if you have a medic, you'll have half the firepower and the medic will die. Even with 8 players it's just boring. You spam bullets at the bosses for five minutes straight before they drop. Glad they changed the co-op for Res3.

Disagree. R2's co-op is a real co-op. It requires actual cooperation between the people playing. R1 is your usual campaign co-op. It's something nice if you just want to run and gun with a friend or two but the reality is that no cooperation is required to get through campaign co-op.
Also, although R2's co-op works best with a minimum of 3 people, it can very easily be trivialized with 2 people by using a Soldier-Spec Ops combo. But really, any combo can work with just 2 people so long as you have the skill to support the combo. Bosses can also be taken out pretty quickly even with 8 people if people know what they're doing.

I didn't get the hype, it loses its fun when you spend 15 minutes whittling down one boss just for another one to pop. It was very dull, repetitive, and linear.

Like I said, bosses go down pretty quick when you know what you are doing. Like, 30 seconds quick. It has the same appeal as L4D even though all you do is repeatedly kill hordes of zombies and it only has four 1-hour campaigns. But I suspect this kind of co-op might not be your thing, I suppose.

depends how good u play, i was able to solo most levels with medic or spec ops , im sad that this mode is missing it was the best mode in r2 for me , and also the large pvpmatches are gone isupseting too , theres nothing better than to run into a large group of enemies and hit the pulse cannons second fire , guess ill still play r2 even when r3 will be outPlease Log In to post.
