I guess the 3rd installment was the best, i mean the boss fights were epic, the story was great, we got to know Vergil but best of all Dante was rebellious than ever before pulling of sick stunts and always cracking a joke.
DMC1, followed by DMC3, i didnt even bother with DMC4 as the demo was a huge dissapointment for me, and the reviews helped dodge that bullet, im a hardcore DMC fan but i just cant go buying average games anymore, lazy capcom, id be dissapointed if RE5 turns out to be a letdown also, so far the only games that look like they wont dissapoint me in this first half of the yar are MGS4 and GTAIV

Wow....DMC4 was hardly "average", and not nearly as bad as you make it seem. Sure it's your opinion and all, but damn, it scored exactly the same as 3, so i guess that makes 3 an average game as well?
I thought 4 was pretty damn fun. Very good production value, fun combos, good graphics, new playable character...it may not have reinvented anything (unless you count Nero), but it was still more the same good fun (which is both good and bad).

just letting you know that the demo was dissapointing to me aswell, but the game was pretty awesome.
