Best FPS's on PS3?

So I've just ordered a PS3

Can anyone recommend me the best FPS's?

(I've ordered COD4 already)

thoses are the main ones that I could think of, but Turok is fair. Just wanted to toss that one in here, Demo is poop, but the game is pretty fair.

If you could find it for cheap, I say go for it.

Has anybody played Time Crisis 4?

I've always loved the series in the arcades, I saw GS wasn;t very favourable in the reviews but IGN was. User reviews seem very mixed?

Apprently you need to connect IR sensors and the gun to the PS3 via USB, but the unit will not be in the same room as my TV so this maybe a problem. I can hide the wires but I am wondering how long the supplied cables are? If any knows that would be great!

In my opinion (from games i played)

1) Call of duty 4 (both single and online)

2) Resistance Fall of Men (both single, co-op & online)

3) Unreal III (online is pretty good)

5) Call of Duty 3 (single game ok, online not bad either)

6) Team Fortress 2 (great online exprerience)

Currently playing The orange box (GREAT), and Conflict Denie Ops (average, but co-op is fun)

(Avoid at all costs Timeshift....what a waiste of money :(... )

I think i'm going to pick up resistance later today, trade in some old wii games or something.

Really liking the look of Haze and GT5 too.

In that order(IMO), but im not sure about BF:BC because i havnt played it.

Resistance is my favorite.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Unreal Tournament III are my other favorites.

I would put The Darkness in there, but although it is technically a FPS, it's so very different. With my post I tried to stick to more traditional shooters.

The Darkness is amazing, though.

I love it how everyone "hates" COD4, but then instantly suggests it as the best FPS. I am sorry but both COD and R:FOM have had awful controls and the stories were like mini-episodes written by different people.Killzone 2 ismuch better!
