Resistance, Warhawk, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Oblivion, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Motorstorm, GRAW 2, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Heavenly Sword are all good first games.

Well call of duty 4 is great, there's also warhawk which is multiplayer online only but it's a lot of fun and will last you a long while. It's doesn't get boring too quickly either as there are tons of different combinations of events, a lot of vehicles, gameplay modes, and a new expansion coming this december. Basically it'll last you a long while and you'll have fun with it. If you're looking for a great single player experience, i'd reccomend Uncharted or Assassin's Creed.

honestly, don't buy assassins creed, rent it, it's good but short and very repetitive. Like once you go and perform your first kill it's basically the same tasks over and over again after that, I made the mistake of buying it and I'm gonna trade it in for burnout paradise in a couple of weeks. But yah COD4 is awesome for fps games, Warhawk has its moments, I'm only now starting to get bored of it after like 40 hours, oblivion is badass and the shivering isle expo just came out for it, rainbow six vegas is pretty good but I think alot of the online community made the jump to COD4, madden is cool but apparently it's better on every other system even the cube and ps2. Heavenly sword is another rent, same with Ratchet and clank, both are good games just super short and single player only so they have very little replay value.

Go with Uncharted; you be glad you did

It has plenty of replayability, because:

  • it has four different difficulty levels, one of which you unlock by beating the game on hard, which is actually hard
  • the game only takes eight hours if you play on easy or medium; expect a good 10-15 hours on hard
  • there are 60 treasures to find
  • there are 47 medals to earn (many of them are very difficult)
  • there are 1000 points worthof medals to earn...
  • there rewards to getby earning certain numbers of pointsfrom medals including: art galleries of character/level concepts, unlimitted ammo, weapon choice, fast motion, slow motion, super slow motion, costumes, etc
  • the story is like a summer blockbuster movie that you will love to watch and play over and over again

So ...the game has plenty of replayability unless you're the type of person who will only beat the game once on easy ormedium in 8-10 hours and then have it sit on your shelf and collect dust.

But, if the treasures, medals, rewards, or difficulty levels interest you even remotely, you will get plenty of replayability out of this game. Naughty Dog knows how to keep gamers coming back for more.

Besides, its just pure undeniable fun; definitely my GOTY, bar none. It's the most fun I'vehadwith a single playergamesince God of War IIand well worth the $60.

I love Warhawk. Doesn't get old like gears of war. There's just so much to do, plus new expansion to be released this month

Call of Duty 4 all the way :) If you're not into shooters I'd go with Oblivion or Uncharted.

i'd recommend Oblivion. GOTY edition is great, but IMO the shivering isles was a meh expansion. i don't even use any of the extra gear i got while playing. plus, the normal edition has Knights of the nine too, and its only 27$ at GameStop. GOTY edition is 60$. so if you get the normal edition, you can get alot more games cause you saved money :D

It's all about Ninja Gaiden. What's better than being a ninja and showing other ninjas what's up and being awesome? Nothing, that's what.

sigma's great for NG newbies. it's got a load of extra content and replayability, plus it's probably the best action/adventure out now for the PS3. (till GoW3 comes out)!
