I would like to purchase a gaming headset for the PS3 and would like some advice and recommendations. Right now I have the PS3 official headset but I want one with Sorround Sound so that I can game at night and not wake up my familly. lol. Can anybody refer me to any high quality gaming headset with sorround sound especially for playing FPS online?

Maybe a few ranging from low price, medium price, and high price ones. Thanks in Advance!

This is the one I use. Turtle Beach Ear Force PX 21 It's not the most amazing one out there but it's going to be what you want unless you're a pro gamer or something. It has adjustable chat and game volumes. You plug the USB into your PS3 and the headphone jack into your television. You'll have to turn your tv up pretty hig though.

Here's the website:http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/ps3-gaming-headsets/ear-force-px21.aspx

Sorry GS won't let it be a link...

The best one that i've gathered through research is the Ear Force PX5. It has bluetooth and will run you about $250 american dollars. It has Dolby Digital Surround Sound. It also has a whole bunch of features not found in the one i mentioned above.

I'd get some Sennheiser HD555's an Astro mix-amp and a clip on mic. Check the headset sticky in audio/video board.

Low price - Turtle Beach PX21s, priced $60

Mid range - Official Sony headset with 7.1 virtual surround sound (note: not yet out, will be released on September 6th, priced $100)

High price - Astro A40s, possibly the best headset out there. Not cheap though at $280.
