Best Gaming Series Poll

MGS series

That is a tough one, in my opinion both Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid have great stories which works well as the game gets more close to the chracters and the situation they are in.

I voted for MGS but I changed my mind I'll go for both FF and MGS.

I've only played three Metal Gear Solid games and two were on the PSP

But I've played Grand Theft Auto III to Grand Theft Auto IV

Liberty City onthe PSP................

So......Grand Theft Auto

I went with FF simply because it has been around since Nintendo. Though I think all the games have valid arguments._instinct_

Final Fantasy is amazing, but has too many spin-offs and some questionable titles

GTA is great too. I didn't like the second one on the PS and some of their games which bored me a bit. GTA4 is awesome, but that alone can't let it win the best series.

Resident Evil too has many crappy spin-offs and such

Mario? For every good Mario game, there are about 50 "eh" spin-offs :(

Overall, MGS wins for me. I've never played a MGS game I didn't like. I'm not counting "Snake's Revenge" because it wasn't even made by Hideo Kojima, although SR wasn't THAT bad. The games are solid (no pun intended) and the gameplay/story is unbeatable imo.

Resident Evil... Then FF.mr_so_evil

gta4 is close but it doesn't have a sense of devotion from its fans like mgs. each game is a new story- whereas mgs has been this continuos story that everyone loves.

i think resident evil should be second and could be the only one thats possibly first- after some of the most memorable gaming experiences on RE 1 through 3, and then 4 was just outstanding- 5 is going to be incredible, and 3 movie spinoffs.

devil may cry, god of war, madden, grand turismo, final fantasy, any nintendo franchise, and several others come to mind as runners up

I didn't forget about Zelda, it's one of my all time favs but

1. I didn't want to have a ton of non PS3 options

2. We could nit pick and easily come up with 20 other gaming series.

Its just a fun poll. Enjoy it for what it is.
