Best graphics game

I just got a new hdtv and i want to see ps3's maxed out graphics

so whats the best game out now that has the best graphics

I'd probably go with MGS4, the lighting and characters models are amazing to behold (though the game does suffer from the occasional muddy texture).

Graphics are getting so good now that it's hard to really tell if one game has better graphics than another though, since most games now have some serious eye candy that I continue to be impressed by.

That kinda depends. Do you want colorful? Realistic? Abstract?

Colorful: Uncharted or Ratchet.

Realistic: MGS4 or COD4

Abstract: Prince of Persia [Trailer] or LBP [Trailer]

i already have mgs4 ive been playing mgo

but now i started playing single player to awe at the graphics

Heavenly Sword and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Gran turismo 5 prologue has very amazing graphics. Like if you look closely, you can see the stitching of the leather with the in car view.

Uncharted Drake's Fortune for sure. Best jungle world in the PS3 like, ever.

And Assassin's Creed has pretty good graphics. I can't describe them they are so amazing.

All of these games look inredible:

Metal Gear Solid 4
Uncharted
Ratchet and Clank
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

For me those are the best looking games on the market right now.

Environment - Oblivion and Uncharted

GTA IV (amazing graphics considering the scale of the world), Uncharted, R&CBioShockOwnz

I'll agree with GTA. The world looks amazing. The actual characters and such, not so great, but take your first helicopter ride through the city and you'll know what I mean.

MGS4 by far has the best graphics, Assassin's Creed.

MGS4,GTA4 is dosen't have the best graphics but the game is soooooooo realistic and the graphics arent so bad thou...

I´ve always thought TES IV Oblivion is the best looking game out there. I think it looks even better than MGS4 (I own them both). Ok, you can flame me now if you want... :Dsevansoares

Yeah, thanks. It´s such a great game from every aspect, even though it´s a little old by now I felt it like a true next gen experience (more than NGS for example - TES IV Oblivion was the first game I got for my 60 gig and NGS was the second). Whereas Oblivion amazed me beyond my belief, other games just wouldn´t cut it... So... Where´s the love for Oblivion people?

LOL GTA IV's graphics were not that good. They look practically the same on a HDTV and SDTV...the only thing was the words and certain things were more sharp. But as someone else posted

Finished the game already and I have yet to experience such graphics in-game. Maybe those are promotional photos? I´m not saying it´s bad in a matter of graphics, but I don´t think it looks that good.

Odd. I've finished the game twice and it looks like this. I'll take some screens off my HDTV and bump this thread tomorrow.
