The PS Eye sounds just like the Eye toy, Crappy! Please for the love of god people don't use your PS eye as a headset in a game, we can all hear every backround noise in your room. You can hardly hear anyone else in the game if you you the PS eye. Plantronics 510 Voyager is the best bluetooth headset for the money.
The PS Eye is great for many reasons, obviously it is a camera, but it also includes a mic array, it also does alot of processing on the signal so it filters noise out which means the quality is high and even better it can track multiple people, thats something no misc BT mic can do.teebeenz
Ever been on the receiving end? It can not compair to a real headset.
PS Eye is great if you actually have somewhere to put it near where you sit while gaming. The cord is kinda short, you may need to buy a USB extension.RoganSarinethe whole point is you dont put it near you, it filters out the noise so it can hear you and others across the room.
hmm...sucks that EYE (according to other posters) are noisy and doesnt filter out background noises....
i was gonna get it instead of a bluetooth headset
How about we get some real suggestions instead of some lame toy. Thanks.oldskooler79
go back to mario forum plz thnx
Any head set with bluetooth, i use my cellphone one, so go to a cellphone store and the most expensive should be your choice. But really, mine was 16EUR and its great i think (lack of comparing grounds) anything you buy with 20~25USD should be good and its easy to configure, i really think going for the cellphone ones is your best choice, they will be cheaper and as good as the ones you find for "gaming".what is the best Mic overall outhere for PS3? if so were can I buy? details please

dont bother man, no one uses mic online :( i bought one but i dont use it :( the psn comunity sucks :/big_boss4lifehum, same here, maybe every has a mic and no one turns it on because they dont wanna be the 1st :P personally i like to be as relaxed as possible when i'm playing, having the mic on is like having guests at home, just dont feel as comfortable "#$# and !"#$%$# and stuff like that :P
definitley the official PS3 Bluetooth wireless headset it pwns all other gaming headsetscheesy42What he said. I think it is worth the money and it looks sexy :) i bought a cheap one and it doesnt do any good. Go with the ps3 official.

Agreed worth it's weight in gold. Excellent clarity, quick charging, easy to sync, and only headset with HQ mode.
yes I use the ps eye as a mic but I will be getingting a real mic soon. But I'm having a hard time choosing one.
definitley the official PS3 Bluetooth wireless headset it pwns all other gaming headsetscheesy42this guy is right ive got the official bluetooth it rocks it doesnt pick up alot of sound even when ive got surround sound blasting. Theyve got big ones still i saw one for 30 bucks at gamestop but theyve got the smaller official ones for 50. The pseye is horrible you pick up to much background sounds. Ive had plantronics but those break way too easy
created on dec 2007..
anyways i got that mic that was featured on the ps blog back in nov 2010..new version of the official Bluetooth Headset, i did have the old one but it hurt my ear plus my dog ate it..
Just get any Bluetooth, even the chepaest $20 bluetooth works like a charm, no need to spend all that money on a Mic.
the one that comes with warhawk works really well, a lot better than i expected jaredrichards3
Yea, it really does. In fact, it received a lot of praise from some of my PSN buddies for its clarity.
(FYI, the model we're talking about is the Jabra BT125).
I'm certain that there are more ergonomically comfortable headsets than the BT125 on the market, but in terms of sound quality, I wouldn't be surprised if it's right up there with the premium models.
EDIT: Didn't notice this was an old thread. At any rate, I'll leave my post alone, as it may still be helpful to someone who is interested in purchasing a new (old) mic.
