i believe these are all 7 players unless stated otherwise
the max amount of player u can play with locally on the PS3 is 4, no more, if you see there are 4 leds on the controler.
Those games may have support for more players, but are online.
Wrong. When it goes to 5 players 2 LEDs on the controller light up. Look in the manual.thats what i thought at first. then i learned otherwise :Pthe max amount of player u can play with locally on the PS3 is 4, no more, if you see there are 4 leds on the controler.

The maximum number of players to one unit is four and very few games support four-player split screen. In fact very few games support offline multiplayer now-a-days. LittleBigPlanet is the only game that I have personally played that supports up to four players to one unit. Borderlands supports offline multiplayer but only to a maximum of two players per unit. On the other hand if you system link then it's a little different, but reguardless you're still looking at the maximum numbers of players per unit is four. Modern Warfare 2 supports offline multiplayer in the form of Spec-Ops, but the maximum number of players for one unit is only two.
This is going to sound like trolling but I assure it isn't. The 360 has more games that support offline multiplayer than the PS3. For instance. Unreal Tournament III; The 360 port supports offline multiplayer up to four players if I'm not mistaken (it could be only two) whereas the PS3 port does not. I truly wish we had more offline multiplayer support on the PS3. That would be the best thing for the console in my opinion. Screw all that other garbage that SONY is loading up via firmware updates. Developers need to take some time and be as thorough with the PS3 as they are the 360. You hear of games such The Orange Box being far superior on the 360 as opposed to the PS3.
It's a crying shame.

Good find, and thanks for correcting me although that's such a small handful of games that in my opinion aren't worth mentioning.
