MLB 09 The Show

Best Action Games: Metal Gear Solid 4 (This game is absolutely deserving of the 2008 Game of the Year Award, the ultimate fan service to Metal Gear fans), Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Excellent blend of action and platforming, great story, fantastic sound and graphics) Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (Awesome weapons, hilarious script, just a wonderful all-round game)

Best Sports Games: MLB 09: The Show (An absolute no brainer if you're a baseball fan, best sports game I've played in a very long time), NHL 09 (Fantastic online), Madden 09 (Best Madden since Madden 2005)

Best RPG: Fallout 3 (Runner up for 2008 Game of the Year in my book), Valkyria Chronicles (Beautiful, original, very underrated strategy RPG), Oblivion Game of the Year Edition

Best FPS: Killzone 2 (Best graphics, bar none) , Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (A classic that will continue to be played years from now), Resistance 2 (Most online options for your money)

Best Family Games: Little Big Planet (Perfect for your girlfriend or kids), Rock Band 2 (Great fun, massive library of songs, backwards compatible with Rock Band)

If I had to choose 3 games I'd pick: Metal Gear Solid 4, Fallout 3, and Call of Duty 4. Honorable mention to Little Big Planet and MLB 09: The Show.

I Think Little Big Planet its kinda like Mario and never ending lvls :)) its fun ummm Motorstorm is tyte and Resistance 2 is pretty cool and Killzone 2 is good

Folklore (RPG) is a solid & fun game.

Those are what I would recommend as the best games

Either CoD game would be a good start due to its playability

Please. Everyone knows that games where you get to say GOALLLLLLLLLLLLL Are ten times better then other sports games. Actually thats kind of true. It seems in recent years Basketball and Football games have been going downhill while the hockey and soccer games continue to keep getting better. It feel's like only recently that Baseball games have started to really become a player in the sport's market but yeah I've heard good things about the Show.

I reccomend Rainbow Six Vegas Two and Oblivion-I have spent loads of time playing each and really enjoy them. Nothing like playing a four player terrorist hunt online or splitscreen with a friend. The Orange box is an amazing deal 5 games for only $20 dollars. Resistance 2 is also a very good game-graphics are great and so is the online versus mode and 8 player co-op is crazy.

What ever you do do not get Unchartedor Mgs4.

Ok man, we're getting just a little tired of hearing about how you dislike Uncharted. You're one of the few people I have ever heard that didn't like Uncharted.
