Best PS3 Arcade Fighting Games

Hey There!

I was wonderin what are the best arcade "old school style" fighting games for the PS3? I want to play some fighting games but Im use to the old school arcade fighting games, but I dont care for seein blood and gutts bein displayed on my tv, so any suggestions?!

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a great choice

MVC3 or Street Fighter?

One of the SF games or maybe Blazblue. I wouldn't get MVC3 because the game is a joke imo.

haha seriously. first of all the game is rated T so no gore and very little traces of blood (just like some scratches or something) second of all it is a 2d game with 2d sprites so even if there was blood it would be really fake and cartoony looking

If you're a stick user avoid SF3 and SF2 they're not exactly "compatible" your stick will work but they're no short cuts for dragon punch motions.

No. You aren't.

Even if there are short cuts, a 623 motion will still give you a 623 motion attack.

Nothing says you have to do the shortcut for the move to come out.

ANY time that I do a DP, I ALWAYS do Forward, Down, Down/Forward, unless I mess up the input.

No one is going to do a "real" dragon punch motion when Diagonal/diagonal is faster your frame data radius is at an advantage.

It's the equvalent of playing a PC shooter with a controller you'll get murder because the mouse is quicker then the analog sticks.

Then what happens when you stop playing SF4, and you play a game where that input doesn't exist and you have to actually do the motion?

Even if you say it is faster, it isn't by much and there probably isn't going to be many, if any, situations where that small speed increase will matter.

To be honest, most fighting games have little to no blood.

doesnt matter if there is or there isnt any blood in the game if it says so on the back of the game case that there is blood then im not touchin it! And to be honest I already have MVC2 and thats a lot of fun

I'm pretty sure what blood there is, is probably during the story sequences. Never during gameplay.

Now i am curious as to why that is...

If it is a moral and or christian view then that is just stupid. In a fighting game you are doing just that, fighting someone. Whether there is blood or not you are still beating the ever daylights out of someone often to the point to where they die. Taking blood out of the equation doesn't change the fact that you are still causing someone pain and harm. It is the same thing as watching a PG13 action movie and an R action movie. There will be people dieing in both of them, it doesnt matter if the PG13 one doesnt show any blood people are still being killed and dieing. And if you refuse to play a game with blood simply because it grosses you out and you dont like to see it well then im sorry but grow up. And lastley if you dont want a game with blood because it is for your child or you dont want your kid to see you playing a game full of blood well then that is the only good reason i can see to not buy a game with blood in it.
