Heavenly Sword. This game sets a benchmark for this new gen.

When I played this game. I do feel for the first time the next gen has really arrived but not just some upscaled stuff from previous gen or some downscaled port from PC.

Look at the usage of motion capture in HS, and you'll be compelled to say: "Yes, that's it. That's the direction of this new Gen"

On the other end, the story-driven and emotion-driven end. It's gotta be Ratchet and Clank:TOD.

If HS is like a top-notch summer blockbuster action movie. Then R&C is like a Pixar movie in the run of Academic Awards. It's driven by the development of the characters and it grabs every bit of your attention effortlessly.

These two are at the top level of production in the PS3 lineup right now I believe. But unfortunatelly, in GS, both of these games were graded by that now infamous A.T.. What a shame, what a shame.

It's a tie between Heavenly Sword, Resistance, and Lair (I enjoyed the heck out of that game, so shoot me). Those are the games that have consistently kept me coming back for more.
