I would avoid Motorola headsets. I have heard iffy things about them. I personally have a H500 that is practically useless with the PS3. Im buying a Jabra BT125 (the WarHawk one) right now to replace my POS Motorola.michnowicz
Depends on which one you buy. The cheaper ones suck.
But the better ones are compatible with everything. The sound quality (On both speech and hearing) with the H700 is waayyy better than the Jabra. I have both.
I still recommend the H700 over Jabra.

will ebay the H700 :DIt's the one that has a little extendable mic on it. It retails around $90 to $100.

I use the Jabra BT125 that came with warhawk, and it does a good job,
not sure about the more expensive ones, I use a Jabra 135 for my cell phone, and it works fine too.
So this would work right? Could it be used for phone and PS3?Nightrain76
Yeah, but, you'd have to re-connect it to each device each time you wanted to switch, which would be annoying.
I have a Plantronics 330 and it works great. It has about 8 - 10 hours of talk time and doesn't hurt my ears like some of the other ones. Its pretty cheap too only about $40.

I have a plantronics also and this has been by far the best headset I have used. Long battery life, charges quikly, and is very comfortable. The sound is also good. I would recommend this to anyone.
Sony is putting out an "official" Sony bluetooth headset for the PS3. I'm just going to wait for it, and know I'm getting good quality at a decent price, with full compatibility.
I dont own any other bluetooth devices, so i didnt own a headset when i bought a PS3. Kind of a bummer that the headset thing is a little more complicated then it really needs to be, but its not much of a big deal, I'm not really playing much online on my PS3 right now.
If you play the ps3 when somebody else is in the room, I recommend the JawBone.
Other people in the room could be shouting their faces off and they will only hear your voice, its amazing :D
Ahh zombie thread. Most of the people who were in this thread aren't here anymore...
The best headset for the PS3 now is the official headset.
old post that someone dug up, but good info nonetheles
i got the motorola h700 and it was great until recently it wont hold a charge, but after 2 years i guess its replacement time for it. Also, the plantronics 690 is great long battery life great sound both in/out and had it for about a year and still holding a charge like new and my talk time was about 5 to 6 hours before it started to die out. The only thing i dont like about it; the earpieces, since you can swap them out for comfort they tend to start to loosen after about 6 to 7 months of use. im thinking of getting the g330 logitechs... corded but usb so we will see
I have the Bluetooth that game with Socom Confrontation. It retails for like $40 bucks. The best PS3 headset that I have played with is the Turtle Beach P21. You can also hear game audio with it. It'sdurbale and extremelky comfortable.
the turtle beaches are good for that price range, but the trittons blow them away. i sold my TB's after trying out the trittons at my buddys house.I have the Bluetooth that game with Socom Confrontation.
