Best Ps3 Shooter!!!(Not COD4!)

Even though its not a FPS, give uncharted a try. It is one of the best ps3 games out and probably still has the best graphics for ps3

Also, consider warhawk, it is hard but it is pretty fun

I got bored with CoD4 also, I won't even get the new maps next month or whenever they'll come out, I just want Socom already.

Dark Sector isn't even out yet, so there is no way you can say its the best PS3 shooter (excluding the ridiculously overrated COD4).

while this is a great game, something no one addresses (it seems) is how last gen it feels in terms of immersion

it will forever remain one of the icons of compelling story telling, but i remember playing halflife 2 and especially episodes 1 and 2 and i noticed how the game was programmed during a time where limited computer resources were in consideration

the game doesnt do as much as todays game to make you feel like you're in a real battle. think of resistance (since this is a ps3 board).. that game did a fantastic job of keeping teammates in the fight, whether they were actually contributing or not.

there were explosions and noise all around.

in half life 2, often times i found that a couple bad guys would come out, you would kill them, then run into a couple more, etc. in an open space, often times with that space wasted.

it doesnt bother most people, its just that after playing certain games like resistance and COD4, the nature of HL2 almost bored me.

theres something about a giant battle that lends a certain unpredictability to it every time.

Well, it should also be noted that Half-Life isn't about an army vs army war like those 2 games, it's basically the idea of a regular guy saves the world.

and yes, rb6v2 is pretty sweet to crave your need for non noobs. you cant run and gun and win, and you have to work as a team unless your left by yourself cuz every1 else is dead.

resistance, still, is sweet too.

Warhawk is one of the shooters I do enjoy.

But that is mainly because I can hope in tanks and planes and stuff. Or I can just drive a jeep around capping zones to help the team have more spawn points.

No. i havent played Ao2 but it dosent look too appealing and dont start with turok, its impossible to aim a damn gun, seeing your enemies in dark places is damn near impossible, and your better off running through every level with a knife because of the kill sequences which cant be interrupted or blocked making the knife in Turok a WMD.

unreal tournament is terrible it has hardly anyone playin online and single player is an onkine tutorial.

Dude, he asked for shooter, not FPS. And yeah, aside from COD4 and RFOM, Warhawk is the best hands down.

If it's not COD4 then it would've been Resistance. But if you don't count it either... Vegas 2 I guess, though the connectivity has issues.potterpipi

I would have said Resistance, but it's getting kind of dated now. R6V2 will be good if they fix the broken online, and UT3 is great if you can find servers to play on.

Really though, if you have COD, why would you want to play anything else?
