i'd say Tekken, cause its just a really casual game, there's no story line that you need 10 minutes or more to immerse yourself in before you can enjoy it. Its just real fun and easy to pick up and put down.
Hot Shots Golf Open Tee is a great "on-the-go" game, even if you dont want to play a full match in one sitting you can just do a couple holes. Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron is a great on-the-go game, with very fast loading times and all. Instant Action is a good mode to play on the go.
Titanium-thanks for the link to check out Hot Shots. I have used Expotv for other games to buy. I bought Carnival Games, Links Crossbow training and Super Smash Brothers Brawl all based off of reviews that I saw there without ever actually playing the game.

They may not be the best, but guaranteed gaming enjoyment for me would be Tekken DR, Hot Shots Golf, & Wipeout Pure/Pulse. These are the games I take with me EVERYWHERE I go.
Patapon because i did take it on the road myself and the story is at the beinning and end so its easy to follow and play, and star wars battlefront renegade squadron, fast loading and great fast action!
From what I've played, I'm going to have to say Patapon. You can pick that game up and play through a mission in four to six minutes and have a blast while doing it. If you're talking longer periods of time, I'll have to recommend Crisis Core.
You can play any sport game on the go. Don't have story lines so you don't have to concentrate so much. And you can make the game only a couple of mins so will be over quickly if you'r on a short trip. Nothing like hitting a home run or dunking over shaq on the go.
