I personally think Ridge Racer. I'm genuinely impressed by the presentation of this game especially since it was a launch game. They fit a full Ridge Racer game on the PSP with tons of cars and tracks and great graphics (though there are a few jagged edges here and there). As a console game the Ridge Racer games have been very good but for a PSP game it is great.
Yeah, I still pick up my Ridge Racer every now and then. I hope the next one has something more to offer, because I wouldn't want to buy the same thing with just a "2" on it.
I own both Wipeout Pure and Burnout Legends and they were my first 2 games :) i love both but i am a BIG fan of Burnout so i would say that, but the PSP versions of both must be admired. I feel that Burnout lasts longer... i dont really feel like wipeout any longer... but the new one with ONLINE is awesome news!!! :D
Hey howcome I cant find any info on Ridgeracer 2 here on gamespot? The games been out for quite a while in pal regions. been released in the states or not? Apparently its very very similar to the first ridge racer though but I'm gonna pick it up soon coz I dont have the first one anyway.
Ridge Racer. ..Burnout Legends/Dominator just reminds me of smashing cars..and not really racing... Wipeout Pure is second best, but because it's a fast pace racing game...you crash too much making you loose the feeling of speed. Need for Speed is just boring...stick to the console versions...

It hasn't came out in the united states. Kindof dumb, since all they'd have to do is manufacture the discs. Check amazon, and they got the pal version on there which has been outoftstock anyways. Still, my pick is ridge racer. Its the only racing game that dosen't really have technically problems, and its fun. Burnout has a low draw distance, and the gas button sometimes doesn't work if you hold the button before the race starts. Â
I have never play Need for speed for PSP or Ridge Racer but I have played Burnout and Wipeout. I think Burnout Dominator wasn't as great as Legends for me and I think Wipeout would probably be tied with Legends for me. I really enjoyed both games especially Burnout for the rampaging and Wipeout just for the graphics and weapons. I really would like to be able to play Burnout online though.

Yeah I know that, Test Drive Unlimited is out for the psp.
oh my bad, i've never even seen it in stores or heard about it on the PSP. I did have it for xbox360, it wasn't bad, more of a drive around the city game than a strict racing game.
I think Wipeout Pure is the best. The only thing that it's missing is online play. I wish they would release a patch for it or something, would make it even better.

Burnout Dominator definately, although Burnout Legends requires a mention as its got crash mode still. Wipeout is great, and I'm gonna put in a second vote for Need For Speed Carbon. I've just started playing it again ..... I really like it on PSP, and I want to get it on xbox 360 also, as they're completely different games. Bump for Test Drive Unlimited, haven't played it yet but I think it looks great, can't wait to get that :D
If wipepout had online it would've blown any portable racing game out of the water. I played all & all I can say is it's a close call bet. wipeout & burnout... Ridge is boring.

I'll agree with the wipeout online because of its weapons it's kinda like mario kart. Which is why wipeout pulse is a very exciting announcement. Ridge is not boring though. It's one of those games If you don't get the gameplay you won't like it. If you do it's one of the most unique racers out.
Hands down Burnout Legends takes the cake. Seriously a great port of Burnout 3 with fantastic graphics and a sense of speed that has not been seen on hand helds since, this is a must own for PSP fans.

Ridge is boring because it gets old quickly stupid AI, & also if you have played burnout or wipeout I find no reason to pick up this game. I found NFSU better than Ridge. There's a lot of racers out there choose what you like!
