The best RPG for ps3 is The Elder Scrolls Oblivion.I am playing it already for 1000 hours and I am still not getting bored with it.

I am big rpg fan but Fable has to be one of **** rpg games ever.Along with Gothic 3.
Firstly, don't listen to the fanboys, Fable 2 is going to be the best exclusive 360 has, as far as I can see.
Anyway, best RPG is Elder Scrolls GOTY Edition... really, it's the only RPG unless you count Enchanted Arms. I hope you've got a backwards compatible PS3 or you're out of luck. If you DO, pick up Dragon Quest VIII, Suikoden III or Suikoden V (stick with it, the first few hours are boring as hell), maybe a few others like Persona 3.
I agree with most other people here and say Oblivion. It's so freakin addicting and the open world aspects of the game are flawlessly done. I never played Fallout 3 but if It's like Oblivion then I'm sure it's also amazing.
Also, the other game I'm playing right now is Final Fantasy VII; it's on PSN for $9.99 if you're into the PS1 classics. One of the best (if not THE best) games ever.
i am a big RPG fan. i am from Asia. I love Final Fantasy as a RPG. FFX being my FAV and FF 8. FF 7 was great i would say also.
I am desperately waiting for FF 13. Fable i never liked and it didnt got a great score on gamespot either. even Fable 2 didnt too well since i just go for games rated atleast 8.8 or above. gamespot is most probably correct with the actual rating for the game.
However i would like to ask is that i was never able to get into Elder scroll games. I always Drooled over how the gfx were say Morrowind but the animation and the fighting system was pathetic. i was unable to actually grasp how it was a good rpg and it got a 8.7 which was ok understandable BUT now Oblivion i mean the gfx are Great too good but again the gameplay the fighting i dont know how to get into these games. i bought oblivion and sold it . again bought it got disappointed again sold it . same with my friends they cant just enjoy playing it. Can anyone here explain what are we missing and how are they meant to be played with such boring battle systems and hardly any bosses like enemies.
OR is it that there is something in the GENES or east and west that somethings just the west can enjoy while we cant and somethings we can and west cant. is it something in the genes or what ?
