The Uncharted series has a nice story, but its not at all an RPG.

Heavy Rain is pretty much a story-only game. Its story is also borderline ridiculous but the way it plays out is unique and it's so silly it makes it a fun experience. I really enjoyed Valkyria Chronicles' story too, even if it does tap a few too many anime tropes along the way. It's also not really an RPG...many people call it a JRPG but it's more strategy than anything and has very few meaningful RPG elements. It's also fantastic.

Mass Effect (duh) Uncharted Arkham Infamous Heavy Rain Metal Gear Solid 4 (more like a game driven story lol) Assassin's Creed God of War and don't believe the haters Resident Evil 6. It's story is told from 4 perspectives and you have to play all 4 to get the entire picture.

The Walking Dead games have a nice story with great characters. The games (if you wanna call them that at all) are very easy, and simply let you enjoy the story and just chill back.

Im gonna look into that. It looked alot Like heavy rain and I really like that game. It just simply was hard to play thorugh multiple times because of obviouse plot details.

Uncharted series and Metal Gear Solid 4.

Very little can match these two games, none dare to even compete with them.

Yeah I sure hope so. I am under the impression that it will be releasing towards the end of November. Read some where that a retail copy releases December 4th.

Heavy Rain and Uncharted for PS3 only, and MGS 4 for a nice continued story from an earlier platform.

I have both ps3 and 360.

The 360 has better story driven games. RPG's are almost nonexistant on the ps3. Even if you do manage to find a decent one, you can play it on the 360. Literally, the ps3 doesn't have a single decent exclusive RPG with a deep story. The only RPG that I could say is Tales of Graces. It has an amazing battle system. but the story is rediculous, and the overly used word of "friendship" is redundant. It's almost sickening how much they focus on the word friendship.

But with that said, if you wanted a story driven game for the ps3 I would say Nier is your best bet. But then again, you could buy it for 360 too. Maybe Dues Ex: HR.

Regardless of what people will tell you, avoid Mass Effect 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 as those 'games' would be better off movies. Try all 3 Uncharted games, make sure to play them in order.

-Tales of Graces f (it's got a decent story to it and a group of lovable characters to grow attached to) -Okami HD ( its a ps2 port, yes, but it's got a fantastic story to it that's truly worth experiencing) -Yakuza (worth checking out if you like crime drama and all that) -Catherine (amazing story backing it and characters that truly feel human just further adds to this fantastic game) -NIER ( one of the darkest stories I've ever experienced in a game, I highly recommend checking this one out)

[QUOTE="koospetoors"] Is NIER that great,I've been doubting for months to buy it but no one I know knows it. And the reviews are bad on it. So help me out please, why is it a good game and is it a real RPG? So help me out please, why is it a good game and is it a real RPG? Ignore the reviews on the game. I will say the only bad things I found about the game is that it takes a while for the story to pick up, sidequests are redundant, and the graphics aren't all that great. But with that aside, it's a open world-ish game, it's an rpg, and it has that nostalgic feel to it. The story is great, combat is fun and fluid, and it has multiple endings so replay value goes up. Best thing about it is that there isn't any glitches. It's really cheap now so you have nothing to lose.

Even though it's not out yet (for PS3 anyway), keep a lookout for the director's cut of Deadly Premonition. It definitely has an off-the-wall story.

Heavy Rain if you don't think on the story too hard. Then it's pretty obvious how terrible it actually is

Also FF13 if you can stand linearity
