I was just skimming through this month's issue of Game Informer and was reading over some letters about last months article about game credits and how they should be made more engaging and interesting. The notion of interesting credits brought one game to the forefront of my mind.........
KillZone 2. It had the coolest closing credits I've seen by far. It just shows you how much effort they actually put into the game. They take you from a great (and kinda screwed) ending to that wickedly cool techno grindfest. It was just awesome. Thanks, GG.
This also got me to thinking if there were any more cool closing credits. I only thought of a couple worth mentioning. MGS4 - for one reason and one reason only- for that shocking name they just happened to slip in there.... I was like "He never talked!!" Wow. That really made the game. The other I thought of is the closing credits for both Gears of War games. They show each of the developer's team members with little quotes. They're basically shout outs to family members, praises to team members and often themselves, and reason's why they have the greatest job in the world. The reason I find this so interesting, however, is that some of them said some really STUPID stuff! Like one guy said something along the lines of "My heart has balls" or somtheing. Some guy said something about cheese. Some guy quoted Dr. Phil. It just goes to show you that it takes all kinds. Oh, and there was one guy who looked like that freak off the "New Guy." Gave me a good laugh.
Anyway, what about you guys? Know of any closing credits that stood out for you? Being that they are the most uninteresting and often skipped part of the game (even when there is suprise content hidden afterwards) I do think its important that they make them more engaging as GI suggested. So, can you think of any that were headed in the right direction? Or does it even matter?
