I have zero problems on any other game, but I always get booted to the main screen with an error "lost connection to game server". I really don't understand why?

I am in UK. I may try connecting the PS3 by cable rather than wireless, but all my other games work fine. Anyone else suffering from this?

I get the same thing too and have yet to find a fix for it.

That happens to me too that is why I stopped playing it and went back to MW2.

Is this recent? I've never had any disconnect problems, but I've been playing the singleplayer for the last couple of days.

It has been happening to myself also recently-it's a pain.

Do stats earned before a disconnect priot to the end of a round still accumulate? It's a bummer when you are on a roll and then get DC'ed, it'd be a shame to lose the stats as well.

I wondered this to. its driving me nuts. It always happens when I am going really well... I hope they fix it, because I don't think the problem is my end.

This was happening to my friend, but there was no message. He was just getting booted back to the main menu. It has literally never happened to me though...weird.

I'm pretty sure you keep them. I know I've earned specific badges and weapon stars, etc. and I'll get disconnected, then I go to my awards and they're there. I'm just assuming that all stats are kept, but if you keep your awards then you should keep the stats too.

I always get the message, but it doesn't make it any less annoying

I eventually sold mine. I kept getting booted and seeing disgusting graphic artifacts on a constant basis. The game itself is OK, but I think it was rushed. Its not even been two years since the first Bad Company. To me this is right up there with the MW2 glitches.

graphic artefacts? Only real problem i have noticed are some rather bad aliasing and a few dodgy shadows, but considering the scale and the fairly solid framerate, I am willing to forgive. That said, they need to fix the server issues, game has been out for a good month or so now...

According to a post here: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/389123.page

There seemed to hae been problems from the demo which resulted in people getting kicked. I don't really want to say that PSN/EA is at fault here, but it looks as though their servers are just crap. My advice? Just put it down for one week and grab something else and check sporadically. Don't think it's only you PS3 fans, the PC users have problems too: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/479228.page

Maybe a consiparcy to get users to get the X360? I doubt it, but something to keep in mind (lol.. jk)

http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/wtf--is-wrong-with-bfbc2-/1030374

From looking at that, it seems punkbuster is the problem on the majority of the PC games, although I don't know if the PS3 has a similar protection system. If it does, just uninstal BF:BC2, and then re-install. Although I don't know what will happen to your saved data. Remove the saved data via USB or something similar, and I believe that the PS3 has your online game tethered to your PSN ID, so that should keep your account ok.

Although I don't know if you had to install anything to play, just my conclusions whenever I have a problem with PC things, this may translate into something for the PS3.

I only get a disconnect once a week or so. Seems like something funny is going on with your accounts, local servers / ISP or the game is oversensitive about dataloss from your wireless connection, maybe to prevent lagswitchers.
