i surely doubt that Sony will say something like "The game that will save the ps3".

Yeah that was Famitsu, and as far as a game that "sure-fire" success in Japan, it'd have to be

1) Pokemon...which is a definate no.

2) Final Fantasy something

3) Dragon Quest something

Actually, Japan loves DQ more than FF sometimes sales wise because DQ never takes any risks gameplay wise. That said, Famitsu only apparently knows about some sort of financial deal that went on between Sony and an unamed company, and apparently the nature of it. But I guess it's always up to Sony when and where they feel it's best to announce it.

in total, ps3 is around ps2 sales if their timelines were matched up
