complain in the other thread that rambles on about this junk. You're not talking about anything new, and quite frankly, most people are tired of hearing the complaining. Get over yourself. if you don't like it, don't get the system. No one cares what you think anyway, especially when it's completely speculative negative garbage.

Learn from the PSX! the original playstation is the sole reason gaming is as big and as influential as it is today. The original playstation sold over 100 million consoles before there were as many gamers as there are today. I think they did learn, corrected their mistakes with the PS2 (lack of power and true online support) and have the exclusives that made the playstation brand what it is today. Playstation owners outnumber Xbox owners 4:1, and only 12.5% of xbox owners are members of xbox live anyway so online isn't as big as people think.
Not to start some war or anything but do u really believe that if M$ shipped 6 million consoles by march of this year they would've sold out? doubt it. Part of this "shortage" i think is to create an artificial demand for the system, Sony on the other hand has at least 75 million PS2 owners anxiously waiting for the PS3. Regardless of your opinion

It may be high buts its wonderful value and stop whining about the price everyone, please! Hopefully they wont screw up there launch like Microsoft only selling them in bundles with only one game out of six that people actually do want. I mean 600 is better than 1,000.
P.S. with just on game spot I see alot of people defending the price which means that alot of people are probably going to buy it meaning customers. That means they wont because about 75 percent of the people on Gamespot are defending the price, plus game spot is just one website that means that there is going to be alot more people who want to buy the PS3, like Gamespot is one of probably one million gaming websites around the world. Sony will not loose in the console wars the most likely is Microsoft, because they do not have alot of history. They will probably meet their quota.

He's referring to the Ps2-Dvr hybrid available in Japan for... I think it was 700 dollars usd....Agree with you though. The pricepoint is fine. In Canada, the Ps3 "Premium" is only 184 dollars more than a 360 "Premium".Â
I don't care about the price. B/c my friend is going to India on x-mas and eletrinics are cheap in India. My friend got his psp for $150 from India. Im sure i can get the PS3 60 gig for just $500. :lol:

i agree Sony sacrificed the PS3 just to help the bluray get out in the market which is a shame.

You just took that inerview totally out of context. you have no idea what your talking about. You really think they sacrificed? Are you kidding me. you obviously know nothing about business. Help Blue ray yeah. And its proving successfull caue blue ray is now outselling HDDVDs now. And i dont know how many threads ive wrote in saying THE ONLY CONSOLE PS3 IS LOOSING TO RIGHT NOW IS WII CASUE THEY DEBUT AROUND THE SAME TIME. IGN reported that the PS3 has sold more units in the first 4 months of release then the 360s first 4 months of release.

the price is deffintly high, its deffintly a major turn off for alot of people, even those with the money to spend, but in the end the system is still sellin and doin so at a better rate the the 360 did in its first months
The newer ps3's might get a price drop of 100$ because of the removal of the emotion chip (something like that). qman101
Yeah 2007 price drop is more likely, with the removal of the emotion engine chip, the new 65nm Cell Processors which cost less to make (but are still the same just smaller and production cost is less) and Blu-ray is also dropping in price especially since it's beating out HD-DVD as well.
