well remember, harrsion uses a ps3 at the D.I.C.E convention. whilst demoing the ps3 and singstar, he uses background downloading. i think it will be soon, but come the euro launch i think there'll be an even bigger update...2.0 even

to tell you the trusth all im really missing here is multitasking i would love to hear my own music while playing becouse the music that comes with games suck sometimes and the abilty to go to the xmb menue anytime incase someone sends me a messege i wont haveto quite the game and sony should make there own garddrive just for the ps3 one that you can get in stores becouse im scared to get the wrong one i know its 2.5 inches sata but what about rpm

i bought my first 2 games today man(resistence and VF5) tight games man and yea ill probably get motorstorm but might not on the day it comes out tho im being tight on $$ atm since today i also bought 2 games so u know and MS is coming out next week so u kno ill probably get it the week later or so but ill get it for sure i mean the game is really hot man i been playing the demo alot yesterday and all. anyway so yea add me ill accept it when im on ;)

If I get a PS3 after March, will it already have all the most recent firmware updates already installed?
Also, is it true that the March batch of PS3's will have some new kind of cell chip in them?

The emotion engine has been removed for all PS3s for the European launch. So there goes the hardware based backward compatibility with the PS and PS2. Sony will use software based backward compatibility instead which will be spotty at best. They're doing this so they can save about $27 per PS3 sold. Currently Sony is losing about $241 per unit sold. It's reasonable to assume that ALL PS3s worldwide after the European launch won't have the emotion engine. If this is true thank your lucky stars you already got your PS3 before Sony starts selling the neutered ones.
