I found the game to live up to the hype. This has been one of the most fun games that I have ever played. You have not played a game until you are screaming around a bend with mud spraying up on your hood and a buggy exploding from being T-boned by a big rig.
People complain about the lack of tracks--but I find this to be very overblown. Most racing games have about 15 original tracks (not counting reverse tracks), but of those 15 there are about only 4-6 that are really good tacks. However, all of Motorstorm's tracks are amazing. They all have multiple routes, and these route are so varied/different/long that the 8 tracks is more like 16-20 tracks.
Bottom line--if you have a PS3 this game is a must have. If you don't it just may be the game that makes you run out and buy one. The graphics on a 1080p set are mind blowing and the action on screen is just as hectic as the original trailers show. You will not play many more games that pastes a 'muddy' smile on your face the whole time you are playing it and laughing like hell as you see explosion after explosion of the other cars, all the while trying to avoid the carnage.
BUY IT!!! DONT LISTEN TO THE LAME REVIEWS!!! Sure it could have more tracks and split screen, but the core gameplay is mind blowingly fun. And is that not what it is all about...having FUN!!!
