Bioschock Good or Bad

Everytime i check out the PS3 Forum i always seem to see a topic on Bioshock and there some poeple saying ohh how it "Was" amazing on the 360 but from the demo didnt seem that good... etc. But i was looking forward to the realse of the game and wanted to buy it, is it a good idea...?

Well, people here is *****ing on the graphics shown in the demo, so again play the demo and see if you can live with those graphs. As for me, I don't really care about them, so I'd say it's a good addition to the PS3 library.

Bioshock is amazing. Don't deprive yourself of playing it. No graphical shortcomings stop it from being a masterpiece. The story/abilities/atmosphere make the game what it is, so no worries. Enjoy your visit to rapture.

Play the demo and it your eyes are happy with what you see then go get the game. It will be a great one.

bioshock could well be one of the best games on the ps3 when it comes out.

but seriously though, the graphic whores just dumb it down than what it actually is, or some could degrade because of the fact it belonged to the 360 first. take your pick. try the demo. you wont regret it, but like greengoblin said, you should make up an opinion by yourself.

as long as this game is called bioshock, it's a safe bet that it's the same game that came out for 360 and pc. plus/minus graphical differences, plus extra content, plus trophy support, i'd say the PS3 version is going to be pretty good.

Bioshock was GOTY last year so it's likely good, but the port might be iffy but unless you own both consoles and play the versions side by side you wont notice. It's a great game going off the reviews from last year so I doubt much has changed. If you want it and like the demo then get it; don't pass it up. It does remind me of the whole Orange Box thing but I am a little mad at fellow ps3 owners for passing the game up. It was a great game regardless of the poor port job and supporting good games ensues that these developers games have a future on our preferred platform. Now I can understand the principle of not wanting sloppy seconds from lazy developers and the possible crunch on your wallet this holiday season, but if you are interested in the game then don't let a few crappy textures or slight framerate stutters prevent you from enjoy this game. I'd rather we get a game that looks 98% as good as the other versions then not get it at all.jyoung312

It is a really poor port from what I saw in the demo. If it is the same as the final product, then I will not be buying the game. Think about it; do you want to encourage lazy developers for their half-assed ports by buying their games? It's sending the wrong message and is supporting laziness.

I played the demo and loved it. After hearing about the graphics problem I went back to the demo for a second look. I tried very hard to locate problems with the graphics. I saw the blocky pixels on the bigdaddy that the pictures have shown but you seriously had to try hard to notice those. If I hadn't been specifically looking for those I would've missed them all together like I did on my first playthrough. The game looks amazing and the graphics issue is just blown out of proportion. I didn't see any other big pixels jumping out of any other textures.JKnaperek

When I played the demo recently the graphics were very good and I am a fan of excellent graphics. Not to mention this game engrossed me in such a way that I was highly dissapointed when the demo came to a conclusion. I wanted it to keep going. After playing the demo I am really looking forward to this game. Before that I could care less.

But, did anyone else notice how the game seemed a little choppy as if the frame rate wasn't that good? It just seemed that when I move or look around that it was a little choppy.

it's better than good; it's a masterpiece. i've beaten it one 360, and i played the PS3 demo, which is the same as the 360 demo. the game gets so much crazier, creepier, and more poignant than they could possibly condense into a demo. just buy it.fmobliv06

I have it for the PC. Its an amazing game, but it got a little bit boring by the end. If you never played it, you owe it to yourself to play it. Think of an enhanced Doom 3, with a great ambientation, with a lot of artistic value.

Well i'd rent it first because many people complained about its replayability. I played through it twice and it was a great experience. If graphics is the only problem with the port i see no reason to skip the game.craigalan23

Well since there is a demo out I agree with you... However, if there wasn't one there's no harm in asking.

As far as bioshock goes the game is totally awesome, but not sure as to how well it ported from PC since thats where I have mine
