ive played through and beaten the entire game on the 360 and its honestly my 2nd favorite game of all time, 2nd only to oblivion. I like first person shooters in general so i was immediately attracted to this game. However, the first couple of hours of gameplay i thought it was just ok, an average shooter, yet it's not until you start getting better genetic enhancements and diving deeper into the story that it really kicks off and becomes one of the best games ever made.
first of all, to address your initial complaint, no, you hardly ever get lost. in fact, its often too easy to know where to go because there is a big arrow above you pointing you in the right direction plus a nice map if needed. and to address the haters statement above me, well that was a horrible post...you cant say a game is way too linear just judging it by a demo...especially when the game isnt linear at all really.
you really shouldnt pass up bioshock if you only own a ps3 and cant play it on a 360 or pc because it really is an extremely good game with one of the best stories ever, and easily the best atmosphere in a game to date. the amount of ways in which you can kill your enemies is endless and really makes it fun. if the final boss wasnt a let down the game would undoubtedly be a 10 out of 10.
