Just picked up Bioshock 2, loved the first game. Is Bioshock 2 a sequel or prequel? And I know you play as a Big Daddy, so do you constantly have to protect the little sisters?

Not really sure if it's a prequel or a sequel. But yes you will be protecting the littlesisters a lot in this game. It gets a little repetitive but I still enjoyed it for the price I payed for the game.

bioshock 2 is a sequel to the first one. here is a quote from bioshock wiki page "A sequel, BioShock 2, was developed by 2K Marin and released on February 9, 2010."

It's a sequel, set 8 years after the events in the first game, but this time you play as an Alpha series Big Daddy. Excellent game.

It's a sequel but you play a Big Daddy that was created before the 1st game. Also you have the choice, again, to harvest or save the little sisters. I recommend saving them.

Definitely a sequel, but the multiplayer portion is a prequel - it takes place during the civil war that led to all the splicers tking over.
