what part is it lagging on you. i highly doubt it is your ps3 if this is the only game it is doing it on and its only lagging no freezing on you. the only thing i think it could be would be the disk itself but lagging is odd for an offline game

Yeah, that happened to me once to a point where it was unplayable. Just reset the game and you should be fine. Never did it again after that for me.

It happened to me only one part of the game, where you have to take pictures of the dead. I didn't try to reset the game but, after a while it ran normal.

was that a normal thing to happen?

Expierienced MASSIVE frame rate drops when i was in Sander Cohen's office. Just that place for some odd reason. Dont worry, even Gamespot's review on Bioshock said that the PS3 version had a few framerate problems throughout the game.

I had some trouble with that a couple times and it always seems to be when I'm fighting Big Daddies. After about 30 seconds or so it clears up and everything is back to normal.

I had some framerate dips occasionally myself. Nothing to worry about.

I noticed the lag kind of when you kill someone and they fall slowly and skiping to the ground.

I had it on Xbox 360 and I can't remember any of these problems. Why would it happen to PS3 console? confusing.

Disable v-sync.
It'll keep the framerates steady.
It's somewhere in the game options.

Am not sure what the whole framerate means. But is this option also available on the Xbox 360? just wondering.

There is probably something wrong with your game disc because I have it and it has never lagged or froze on me before. Did you get the game used?

I don't believe so.
Most PS3 games are v-locked by default, while most 360 games aren't.
Having v-sync enabled generally provides more consistent visual quality, though at the cost of occasional frame dips (or lag, as you might say).
In the 360's case however, you'll notice a higher majority of games exhibit screen tearing, especially when v-sync isn't enabled.
Most console devs don't give users the option to enable/disable this function.
Anyways, BioShock for the PS3 has the option (I think it's called Unlock Framerate); enable it to disable v-sync.
I tested it out a while back and didn't notice any drawbacks to enabling it (screen tearing, etc).

I have the 360 version and it also has the option to unlock the framerate.

Your PS3 might be crapping out on you. I hear before the lense fails, Games tend to freeze.

It's normal. That part was choppy for me too. It happens on both consoles, only that section was really bad for me.
