Hi all, I'm a bit of a newb and so this might be a dumb question, but I really want to get Bioshock but does it look/play better on the PC or PS3? My PC has an AMD Athlon 64 6000 3GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and 2x NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. I am really more a PC gal *but* I have just spent lots of pennies on my PS3 and feel I really ought to get some more games for it!

So any thoughts? or does it really not make much difference.

Ta.

Aiming can be difficult with the PS3 version, especially some of the plasmids. I got the PS3 version for trophies though >_>

Since you have two 8600 GT's you will get the most visuals on PC.

Personally I have them both on PC and PS3. I prefer PS3 simply because of large hdtv and bed comfort. Controls are perfectly fine once you get use to them and visuals are good. The only irk I have with PS3 versions is use of bloom, which isn't to bad and you get use to it. I'm very pleased with how well the game runs on the console though.

Very, very smooth framerates.

It's up to you really, you have good PC to play Bioshock on High settings but PS3 version is very good as well.

PS3 wins it has a free DLC ;)

If you're talking about the Challange Rooms, they aren't free, in fact they're quite bloody expensive.

If you do get the ps3 version, which i recommend due to the exclusive DLC and Survivor mode and trophies, be sure to set your TV's max resolution to 720p ONLY because for some reason the game does not automatically upscale to it. Many people complained about this issue on the 2k forums but it still hasn't been addressed. The image quality will be much crisper on 720p than 1080i or 1080p, trust me.

If you're looking for DLC then the PS3 wins, if you're looking for killer graphics then your PC wins.
