Fallout 3 will offer MUCH longer replay value and playing. You can also deeply customize your character in F3. Bioshokc is only about 10 hours long but I'd have to say Oblivion is better, therefore F3 i guess has better style and about 10x longer play time.

Well, I can't say because I haven't seen Fallout 3 PS3 gameplay. I want to preorder it, but I need to see gameplay. Even if they said their goal was to put the 360, PC, and PS3 versions side to side with no console visiable and no one to see a difference.

I do not buy lazy ports. BioShock on PS3 was a lazy port, like it or not. I LOVED the demo but it didn't look as good as the 360 version after a year more, thats being lazy, ive seen numerous games have the PS3 version looking the same or better that come out at the same time. Im not saying it takes a fraction of a precent away from the game, but I will not buy lazy ports.

So basicly, if you don't care or worry about lazy ports. Then get Fallout 3, it looks really good from what ive seen.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm going for Fallout 3. It's going to be much larger. Bioshock is GREAT but not long at all. Go with Fallout 3. It should keep you busy till you get around to getting Bioshock ;)

I think Fallout 3 will have more freedom and replay value then Bioshock has.

Bioshock is pretty straight forward and while it is by no means a bad thing it tends to loose the replay value after the second playthrough.

ok i can understand you not liking FPS, its respectable. but what got me was that you said they both look dumb.

of course you are entitled to your opinion, but even if i was a non fan i couldn't say they look dumb. i would have gone with "not my taste in games"

Im not super excited for either really. I played bioshock on the PC it was great and all but i totally agree with those who said it won't offer much replay value and that it may not compare to the original offering on pc/360. Since bioshock isn't really new to me anymore, and I'm not as intrigued by it as I am by Fallout3, I'd say go with the latter. Personally, I want to be excited for it, but I've been let down so many times already due to over-hyping that I just can't get excited by a game anymore until it's play-tested and reviewed positively by a vast majority. I don't support a decision making process before the games are released anymore. It's just how I handle game-buying now. Idk if that helps, but my advice would be to not absolutely make up your mind before they release because it's not always easy to tell upfront which games will be worth your 60$ and which games wont. I would just be patient and see what happens. If you had to buy one though, and must make the decision now, I'd go with Fallout for the reasons stated above.

Fallout 3... If it has any replay value like Oblivion does your set for quite awhile.

With Bioshock once you beat it you may play it one more time or so. Took me about 12 hours to beat it on 360.

Fallout 3 IMO. I've already beaten Bioshock, and while it IS an amazing game, Fallout 3 is something new.

Fallout 3 will definitely have the most replay value, plus additional content along the way. When Bioshock comes out, thats all there will be since its been out for a little bit. Get Fallout 3, then buy bioshock in 6 months! BAM!

I am getting fallout 3 at launch, but am worried about it being to much of a shooter and not enough rpg. The targeting system makes it look like you don't have to be that great at FPS to enjoy this game though.

since you still level and have a health bar, i think it'll be a good balance.

though the VATS system does have its limits, if you look at the gameplay videos, you have AP and when its depleted you can't use it until it replenishes. and i'm not sure how it does, if it's just over time or normal actions.

Bioshock was amazing, but it doesnt have much replay value IMO. You can rent it and beat it in a few days. Fallout 3 is going to be HUUUUUGE. It'll be much longer, have more stuff to do, more weapons, tons of customization etc. I loved Bioshock, but Fallout 3 will kill it IMO.

Man I cant really say but this is what I am getting: Saints Row 2, Fracture, Dead Space, LittleBIGPlanet, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Resistance 2, BioShock, Gears 2,Quantumof Solace, Midnight Club, Spiderman: Web of Shadows, GH: World Tour, Motorstorm 2, Naruto: UNS, COD: World at War, MK vs. DC Universe, Left 4 Dead, NFS: Undercover, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Shaun White Snowboarding, Naruto: The Broken Bond, Sonic Unleashed, Prince of Persia, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories and hopefully Tekken 6 by years end. That is quite the pretty penny... But of course, I already have my money put aside for all of these. Even with the currenteconomicalstatus, I am spending alot anyways.

Fallout 3:
More replay
Longer
Not a crappy port

Bioshock:
Crappy port, but a crappy port of one of the best 360 games.

Fallout 3 will offer MUCH longer replay value and playing. You can also deeply customize your character in F3. Bioshokc is only about 10 hours long but I'd have to say Oblivion is better, therefore F3 i guess has better style and about 10x longer play time.Unkn0wn-W4rri0r

Ughh, you're forgetting 1 crucial point: Bioshock has 1 of hte best stories and settings around, and probably beats F3 in those areas. If F3 is ANYTHING like oblivion, F3 will have it's moments (out of thousands of quests), but it's overall quality will be sacrificed due to the open-ended gameplay (with glitches, lack of attention to detail and unpolished quality in some of its quests). Yes, the game is long, but for me, I'd rather have a really good story that stays constant along with the overall quality of the game. Also, only the hardcore will rEALLY beat F3 - if you have alot of time on your hands, get F3. If you want an overall tight package but only 10 hours long (with an aCTUAl end-game), get Bioshock. As for me, I;m waitin on the reviews for both. If the reviews say "If you liked Oblivion, get this game!", I'm totally going for Bioshock.

Did you play oblivion and any other fallout games? the story is great if even better than bioshocks.
