I was thinking about going back to get the Platinum trophy in BioShock. But I was wondering if I have to buy the DLC to get the platinum. I don't want to pay just to get a platinum and I don't want to spend all my time getting all the other trophies just to find out I have to pay to get the rest.

No you don't. Only the trophies on the disc have to be earned for the platinum trophy.
