Are you forgetting the 360 is a hardcore platform, 2k are not trying to sell to the casuals.

And since when has an m rating stopped a game for selling well, whats the best selling next gen game so far, its gears of war M rated.

Im not sure what type of exclusivity deal ms has with 2k, but i know theres a deal there it may just be timed it may be a full exclusive, but either way bioshock will sell well.

Is people not getting sick of these threads yet, it's excatly the same as mgs 4 on 360 im sick of those threads too, theres been nothing but speculation about both of these games and the only hard facts we have had are from the people that matter sony/kojima and 2k/microsoft and ken levine and both sides have stated constantly that each game is exclusive to there certain platform.

It may very well be that both these games are going multi-plat and its also very possible both are staying exclusive but the people that matter have stated the latter so people just need to sit tight and hope or own both consoles thats the better option in my opinion.

One things you people hoping for bioshock can be hopeful for is if bioshock is coming to ps3 it will be annouced quite soon, once the 360 version has been out a month or 2 they will annouce its in development for ps3. and 360 fans hoping for mgs4 you have a long wait to even find out if it is.

Please can we end this complete speculation, at least if your going to bring it up bring good hard facts with you not nonsense about an m rating some of the best selling games ever are m rated, and as for the casual not buying it who cares theres not enough casual gamers on 360 or ps3 to even make up a meaningful amount of 360/ps3 owners.

ummm have you looked at the Poll on the home page of gamespot? 27,755 want this game across PC and Xbox 360. heck the Limited Edtion has sold out on gamestop.com for the PC version and i put down 70 bucks for it on 360. this game will sell fine on the 360! im not dbouting at some point this game will make it to the PS3 but to say it's going to sell bad cuz it's M is just stupid. by that Logic GTA and MGS should have floped out of the gate =\jackle2071

LOL it wont sell, early release copies sold on ebay for 150+ and are still selling close to 100 rght now, so i thinki people really want this game bad i am pretty sure it already went gold if i remember, and if not for the game alone the people that go for reviews right now bioshock is lookng to be the most highly rated game EVER or close to it with a avg of 9.9 after 11 site reviews. Even if bioshock does come to ps3 the sequel would never be ps3 exclusive, 2k would not have it unless sony paid mega buck for it which is not going to happen. And really for all we know is MS have exclusive deals with 2k for this game and its sequels.

Realistcly theres a better chance this game will be full exclusive than it being timed as especially after its first 8 reviews getting 5 tens and nothing below a 9.5 and its average being 98.9 on gamerankings, do people not think microsoft will not pay big money to have this title as an exclusive franchise.

If MS are willing to fork out 50million for downloadble content am sure they would fork out for bioshock, infact i think they forked out for full exclusivity before X06 as thats when they annouced it was exclusive a few weeks after the bioshock article in a playstation magazine and since X06 theres been no more speculation about bioshock being multi-platform.

Again part of this is specualtion but i know the exclusivity announcement was true, just my thoughts on what might have happened.

MS knows they need some more great selling ip's they have now got halo,gears,fable and im quite positive bioshock will be adding to that list along with mass effect.

The only difference between those games all are first party an bioshock is 3rd party but again MS could have paid for exclusive rights.

It's ironic for you to call people fanboys, and then make statments common for a fanboy of the 360. All 3 systems have their perks, I chose PS3 for the backward compatability. That doesn't mean I don't want a 360.

I won't be playing Graw 2, I don't have enough time with Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Assassins Creed, Haze, and Call of Duty 4. God, I forgot about Warhawk. There are games to play, deny it all you want.

Yeah i agree, the points made were very unfounded, m rating games can sell just aswell and better than any other rating.

If Bioshock sells well which i have no doubt in my mind it will, people are paying double and triple the price to get this game a few days early.

Take oblivion for example published by 2k it sold greatly on 360 and a year later was ported to ps3 were it sold poorly and infact 2k could have took a loss through development and marketing for the ps3 version.

Also MS have stuck the only on 360 label on the box which again makes me think ms paid for full exclusive rights for this game awhile ago, it got game of the show or something at e3 o6 its had massive hype for awhile and its been announced several times by MS/2K and 2K boston the bioshock is a 360 exclusive.

1. Gears of War was Rated M. Didnt that sell about 10 million copies? (dont remember the exact number...but its an awesome number around that figure). Ok...so we can discard that reason as retarded babble.

2.The game doesnt seem very popular among casual gamers? Ummm...within minutes of the demo for this game going on xbox live, the servers were so overloaded that poeple were having problems downloading it. This went on for the entire first day.Check out the sticky in the 360 forum that concerns the bioshock demo. It was created AS SOON as the demo was made availabole. There are about 9 pages of comments in that thread where people were talking about how much time was left for their download to complete. People were already writing about it before even playing it. Ummmm...all these things point to EXTREAMLY high level of interest.

3. Many casual gamers dont own a 360 or ps3 yet. They game casually. So they arent gonna spend upwards $1000 to play games. Thanks to these casual gamers, the PS2 is still outselling the PS3. The majority of 360 and ps3 gamers are intermediate to hardcore. I myself, would rate myself as intermediate.

heres a couple reasons why it will sell. It makes more sense than yours to be honest

First, ther IS tons of interest in this game. Second, so far every single reviewer has not scored it below a 9. There are several 10 ratings there too. That alone guarantees that the game will start off selling well. Do you think Gears of War would of sold so quickly if the game only scored an average of 8.5? Of course not. So so far we have.

Third, the gamem as soon as it is released, will become THE best xbox 360 title do date. Who would be SO stupid to not try it out? I will guarantee you right now, that maybe up to half of your so called casual gamers will end up buying this game.

Fourth. This game is massively hyped. And according to its reviews, it not only lives up to the hype, it crushes it.

Therefore, this game will sell more copies than Sony has sold PS3s. Yes...and by the end of december.

There is no need to take it to the PS3. MAYBE it will happen eventually. but NOT becauyse of the stupid reasons you mentioned.

Im a ps3 owner and i dont care if bioshock doesnt come to ps3 probably because i own a 360 but another reason is i want my ps3 for its exclusive games like heavenly sword,uncharted/gt5 and mgs4, yes im super hyped for bioshock but it doesnt come into my head while regarding ps3 and in the ps3 forum untill other people bring it up again and again and again.

Ps3 fangirls keep touting these great games like heavenly sword and mgs4 but then they act like there getting no good games and make petitions to try and steal other exclusive games.

It's beyond pathetic.
