Hi. There is a sale for Bioshock2 in PSN: 1. Is it worth buying the game + dlc bundle? How is the multiplayer community, is it easy to find players\game lobbies? 2. Does the dlc bundle have the additional campaign? I also want to buy Resident Evil 5 gold from PSN: 3. Its an old game, so tell me please, what is the size of the multiplayer community? (coop and mercenaries)

trust me when i say these two games are HORRIBLE! Bioshock 2 was a complete and utter insult to the original and RE5 was just a broken, boring mess.. save your money bro, there are much better things to spend your wallet on psn.

Bioshock 1 was superior single player for sure. But you are being overly dramatatic about it being an "insult". The actual quality of the game is pretty close, just the writing was far worse the 2nd time around. Also the multiplayer in Bioshock 2 was surprisingly fun (not that it matters now, because I'm sure it's DEAD, however it was fun while it lasted). So definitely don't buy this game for the online. Definitely start with Bioshock 1, but if you already beat that and enjoyed it, then it should at least be safe to check out Bioshock 2. Maybe it won't live up to the first game, but it's certainly worth playing.

RE5 wasn't that bad either. Although I didn't play the online, so perhaps the online is broken. It doesn't live up to the original Resident Evil games, and is in no way a "must play", but there are definitely worse things you could spend your money on.

The multiplayer is probably dead. I was having trouble with it a year ago, so didn't buy the DLC's. I just got a hard copy of the game for $9.99 (think that was from newegg.com but not sure). It is certainly worth picking up if you find it for cheap. Not sure how much this bundle you refer to is, but I wouldn't put too much value in the online DLC since you probably wouldn't be able to get any use out of it whatsoever. If it comes with the singe player DLC's then that might have some minimal value, but I dont think they were particularly extensive DLC's so I wouldn't give them much actual value either beyond just the price of the game itself.

If you've played the first Bioshock then there's simply no reason to play 2 as it adds almost nothing. Not to say the game is bad mind you, it simply adds nothing to the world. And I assure you that the multi-player is dead.

As for Resident Evil 5, I played it on my PC when it first came out. I bought the golden version on my PS3 a while ago and I could not even force myself to play through it again. It's just "meh" quality. Never played the online but some of my friends told me it was fun.

I have platinum for both and enjoyed every second of these games. Bioshock 2 was a great game imo.

the whole reason why Bioshock 2 sucked was BECAUSE they had to add multiplayer, had they not wasted precious space by shoving mp into the mix the game could've been great, even surpassed the original had they put enough time into it.. see this is what happens when game corps force mp into a game just for the sake of ensuring it has an online mode, the story ends up being short as hell and the gameplay sucks @ss, welcome to next gen gaming...

Yep I'm pretty much on the same line. Neither game is worth very much money. If you can get one for under $10 then have a go I guess. But, for me, the fun factor just wasn't there :)

"BioShock 2" wasn't horrible, but don't pay more than $8us for it, as that's what it costs on disc. "Resident Evil 5 Gold" don't pay more than $12, and it's a fun game but not anything like the series' origins. Fun, but hardly great.

Don't buy either game for MP as they are both ghost towns. Buy them only for the single-player. And for that, they're fine if you pay the prices above. PSN is probably priced twice as much as what you would pay for a disc copy with shipping.

i thoroughly enjoyed Bioshock 2, much more than i anticipated due to all the negative feedback. The multiplayer was dead when i played it a year later, i cant imagine it being alive now. But the SP was a blast, i actually enjoyed it more than BS1.

RE5 was great up until the end for me

Loved Bioshock 1 Liked Bioshock 2...would still recommend RE5 is okay. Nothing great, nothing terrible...but worth playing/buying on the cheap IMO

Double-player for RE5. NEVER recommend playing RE5 alone. Getting along with the stupid AI reduces the fun by 70%.

You seem to be interested in multiplayer, I'll say now that both of these games are worth getting solely for the single player experiences. Bioshock 2 is another memorable journey through the underwater dystopia of Rapture, and Resident Evil 5 is tense and exciting even if it isn't scary.

I would rather put up with dumb AI than a random idiot player paired on on the Internet's "help", but that's just me.

Good man. RE5, Hunted, Army of Two... Pure co-op titles shouldn't even be bought if you don't have a human buddy at hand. That only results in ratings which go far below what the game deserves.

Played multiplayer for Bioshock 2 yesterday. There arent many people playing. It seems that only played mode now is Capture the Sister. Or at least I couldnt find people for anything else. And even with that mode sometime you will find three people which isnt enough to play. So its basically dead but sometime you can get into matches fast and when you do it is still fun. I wouldnt get it for multiplayer. If campaign is your main thing then it is worth it and multiplayer should be a bonus.
