Black Ops Prestige

Hit level 50 and was a bit bummed to learn that if I want to go further, I'll have to lose my weapons and add-ons and start over.

Anyone here opt for prestige and care to share you thoughts on the experience?

Was it worth it or do you wish you didn't bother?

I am prestige 6, i like it because i get more custom slots

So i guess this is your first call of duty game then? Prestige on Black Ops is nothing, you don't really have to do anything crazy, just level up again.. COD4 and MW2 prestige modes were alot worse because you only unlocked camo with headshots, and you had to level up all your attachments again as well.. just do it, it only takes like 20 hours to get to lvl 50 again..PoisoN_Facecam0

First COD game where I bothered to level up - I just wasn't that keen on losing my Commando gun.

It just doesn't seem to be as fun playing online when you're not levelling up to something and with the new map pack I was curious about the switch.

i prestiged up to 6 or 7, I like it, keeps it from getting old a bit longer.

u know it tells u that u lose everything so i dont understand why u didnt read. u have to press ok and are sure taps 2 or 3 times before it prestige u so how come u didnt know?JoKeR_421

just do it man ull get all the stuff back anyway, plus ull have a shiny new badge! i do like the prestige thing though, i dunno it kinda feels like leveling up or something, keeps black ops from getting old and u always have something to strive for so it makes ppl come back to the game. im 8th prestige right now and i prestige as soon as i can.
